Hello, guys. I'm trying to practice the art of finding price pivot zones. I started with the EUR/USD monthly chart, all the way back to 1989. I drew red lines at -00's and -50's and highlighted with yellow the places where price bounced off of these levels. Any feedback will be very appreciated. Thanks!

Hello all ,

I was wondering if there are any videos that are posted around here that talk about the concepts you guys explain? I have read many of the postings and have printed out key pieces of learning material that I think are relevant, I was just curious if there are any videos out there by anyone here about this stuff. I realize there are videos on youtube and such but I am referring more to what is talked about here.

PS The things I have already learned from this website have kept me from losing money so thanks!!

Hey WH

Your chart is just fine. This is a tough timeframe/pair as well so it makes it even trickier to spot the PPZ in the chop. Just keep in mind that these are zones and that we can have very large ones and small ones. This is a tough pair to see some of the PPZs since their can be a lot since we are choppy

GBPNZD pinbar too. Just hop it closes above the round number and alsoif it could challenge that lower support line too.

So, considering what you said, would you say it would be a better idea to focus on a zone near the current price, say 1.35-1.20, and start finding new ppz from the weekly or daily charts?

Hey William

I prefer to stick to the timeframe I am trading for MOST aspects of my trading. So if you are viewing the monthly chart then mark your monthly PPZs just as you did. If you are on the weekly, then use the weekly and so on. Of course MANY of them will blend naturally but it helps in my view keep some clutter off, focus in closer on the ebb and flow of your specific timeframe, and keeps things simple.

Let me know if this makes sense

Turning off the grid, will make it easier to see the PPZ areas.

I know where you are coming from, PPZ used to drive me insane.
I would start on the monthly, weekly, daily & H4, on 20 something pairs, 10 times a day. When I finished every pair, I would look back at the charts, and still find some more that I missed. someone actually commented, " I think you missed one". LOL the chart was already a birdcage with nowhere left to trade. Keep at it.

Hi there;
My first post in this thread. Saw this setup whilst I went through my charts this morning (I know I am not the first one posting the chart though).
Whilst I started preparing the chart, I was thinking about best area to enter the trade or generally setups that occur on daily or weekly timeframe.
Do you generally just enter on the break or do you look at smaller timeframes to fine tune the trade and minimize exposure?
In this example I came up with two scenarios:
Enter before break of Pin but wait for possible retracement to around 1.2915 - 1.2925 (5 min demand) and enter there (in hindsight that would have been a great choice as whilst I am writing this exactly that happened)
or
Wait for break and then enter on retracement (possibly looking for PA on smaller timeframes).
Would love to hear from others how they handle their entries.

Scanned the charts and no trade opportunities today. However, one thing that caught my attention is the PPZ for AUD/CHF. Tested 3x for support and price is approaching it again (this time confluence with RTL). Whether or not it will bounce there no one knows but that's an area to watch for PA or breakthrough and retest

fdax approaching 6500 points. former resistance, round number and 200sma.
index is highly correlated to us-indexes, so be aware.
