EDIT: As I see it, all the rumors have been priced in accordingly, 1.2623 will be the temporary low for sometime to come (a week perhaps), we may see 1.27 come Monday.
Until the actual "official" statement comes out from the ratings agencies, as far as I'm concerned, the leaks by "un named government sources" are rumor and hype. I'll never change my stance on that.

I fully expect these "rumors" to be true and have been expecting the downgrades of the EZ countries for months.

IIRC, there was mention in the feds beige book or something I caught about 11 fed voting members voted for buying mortgage backed securities. I think that's where the QE3 will happen.

QE 3 should serve to knock the USD down a few hundred points. But still, I doubt that they will do it at this point, excepting the odd 100s of billions in stealth QE every so often.

And Now the BIGGIE of the DAY...

QE3 IMMINENT as reported by Steve Leisman of CNBC who is an insider and messenger for the FED.

We are in an Election Year.

Lies Lies and More Lies. There is NO ONE IN CONTROL NOW !!!

I would be very careful trading until we all have a clearer picture. The next FED meeting of 2 days is January 24Th and January 25Th...

Stay Tuned and be informed.

1.2640 is going to be a tough nut to crack today.
I hope it does go down another 100 pips though. That would really make my week.

If France was really downgraded, I cannot see S&P releasing the official report while NYSE are still trading.
