AUDJPY - No trade on this one. Stuck in a tight range and the previous two crosses were losers.

AUDNZD - Same story again but with flat price action and flat EMA and resistance at 1.3050

AUDUSD - Initially I thought this looked quite good but now looking not so sure. Looks like a pull back to a trend line. If the candle was bigger and closed the other side of the EMA I would have had a go.

GBPJPY - Technically this is a cross of the TDI but the previous long never went anywhere so I am going to call this more of a bounce trade. Price has pushed...
I thought the AUD/USD cross looked pretty good also and went in on the next open. I was wondering about the supposed pull back to the trend line you mentioned. It seems like possible support at 1.0160 is more of a consolidation point, that has, at least for the last 3 or 4 months, always eventually been crossed (whether continuing up or down). I hope that made sense. Am i looking at this wrong? Should I be looking more short term?

Finally got back into my account but chart templates and indicators not yet set up - please excuse the lack of TDI, etc.

Entry was on 12/28 and TP1 closed at 290pips.

Manual trade management continues and SL moved again to previous day high (not counting Sunday!)

Currently 400 pips locked in with current trade for TP2 @ +530

Major support approaching which will also be a historic low @1.6202 - time to think about closing this one and looking for new entires.

I think perfect short signal according to new entry rules...?

EMA(5) crossed, TDI crossed, ATR(1) more than 100% more than ATR(7), RSI(10) under 50 level, next support is also more than 100 pips

I would argue that we're currently sitting on and/or near to very major support ... if you go left along your chart you'll see a huge number of fractals around the current price ... my position is wait until that support is broken ...

... granted, it does appear to be consolidating so a breakout may be imminent ... but it's a riskier trade than how it appears at first (in my opinion) ...
1 pip at a time ... if the entries are strong, the rest will follow ...

I's sorry if this is like drawing us back, I've gone again to post #1 and I must admit I'm not too sure how to use the ATR 7 indy, I need some 411 on how to use it.
I'm having some personal challenges of PATIENCE, I entered a trade CADJPY (sell) and after 2 days in -ve pips territory, I closed the trade with -3.1 pips only to find that the pair is going down.
Do we need a new thread on PATIENCE and PSYCHOLOGY?

Are you meaning the technicals of how to use it in MT4 ...

OR are you meaning how to use it for setting stop losses etc?

Download "ATR Pips UL Corner" indicator from first post. Add this indi to any chart with period 7.

Nothing much. You can just see the avg. true range in pips of your desired period.

If it breaks support at 13000 could go down to the next level. For me would have been one to get on 12 hours ago (UK time)

Perservere with back testing - it is a great teacher if you take ime to study the patterns and what each new candle is telling you. I always swith off the Fractals as they influence your decisions too much with historic charts.
Is back testing really the same? I think repainting indies make a huge difference here between back testing and live trading.

Back testing is the only way that you will learn the patterns that work for the high probability trades

The only indicator on my charts that re-paints after candle close is the Fractals which is why I remove them for back testing
