I remember when EUR/USD had reached it's all time high during 2008 just over 1.6000. Then along came Lehman and the meltdown started to bring EUR/USD to just over 1.5000 in October 2008. Then it went down to near 1.2500 if I recall. Perhaps someone can post a chart of August 2008 to December 31, 2008. ?

The reason that I make my statement is because there are just too many unknowns now to everyone including the Powers To Be. We are in uncharted waters and we might be on the edge of a Black Swan event.

NFP might move the markets with a confirmation of ADP 325,000 or be a BIG letdown so imagine the scenario for both events. What asset classes will move ? By being ready for all possibilities you have an edge as events unfold.

Other opinions are encouraged.

I wish I had the time and energy to reproduce charts. Perhaps one of our technical traders can post a 5 year chart here. You will find it to be very revealing. Thanks

May be there are tricks to get the old data in detail .. but I'm only able to have this monthly view.

I used FXCM UK to do that. I guess I need to do a screen shot to capture it. How do I do that ?

It is my bedtime soon. I went to bed at 8:15 PM EST and just awoke at 11:15 PM EST and now off to bed until near 3:00 AM EST.

We are already jumping on a strong support which has historical impact .. I don't see any major movement till NY open. may be ranging in 25 pips.

Since we yet to touch the bottom of the support ... so with good US data we can see it ... but we have time for this ...

I think

1. on your chart --> right click --> active chart save as picture ?
2. Press the print screen button to capture the screen ... and ctrl+V to paste it in MS paint or any word document?

I think at the 1.18 level is when things will start to get interesting. The next major level below that is 1.16 or there abouts. One has to remember this current scenario is of Europes own making. If price eventually breaks the latter, parity will be the target.

ah screw it, am closing the buys LOLz (and the short)

net profit is still 150+ due to larger lots on the short, but due to the buys, pip values of profit when price goes down is lower but still positive.
