anyways, if u see support blown, most of the time it retests it right? well u also got a top of the range box there u can put ur profit stop above that range, as price shouldnt reach there theoretically in a basic Ta perspective if it chooses to trend down since ur position.
u want to be safe, and make profit. likewise if im buying ill put my profit stops below old resistance, safe away so when it retests ill be safe to let it ride.
if it hits, that is fine, we can live with the profit hit to us. its a reward trade. no risk.

You could put a 20 ema on it and trail it with the 20 ema until it takes you out.
Same thing works using the mean of the Bollenger bands.
That way you can let it run as far as you can and maximize the profit.
i cant getmyself around moving averages and bollingers and ADX... and all that i swear i cant i only use momentum indicators such as RSI for divergence , exit and warning heads up. the only MA i use is a forecasting Mirror Ma.

i suck at traditonal indicators
i only use momentum indicators such as RSI for divergence , exit and warning heads up. the only MA i use is a forecasting Mirror Ma.
You can trade with astrology and cycles and draw fancy stars on your charts that blows my aging mind but you can't figure out 2 of the simplest common tools like moving averages or bollenger bands.
Sorry but I have a hard time believing you can't do anything you try to learn. I call B.S.
All you have to do to use a MA or centerline (mean) of the bolenger bands to trail a stop is to move the stop down to that price at each new candle.
It's like a dynamic trend line. It's the same principle as using trendlines to trail a stop but it doesn't allow you to cheat by erasing the trendline and re-drawing it
........ Unless you cheat and change the MA settings like an idiot so you can watch yourself lose more pips as price goes against you.

otherwise, everybody would buy and sell and the same time.I only know the italian bond auction had a bad bid-to-cover ratio even though banks have enough money to risk. Monti likes taking tougher austerity measures for the Italian citizens, but we still see this bond (which might have been the best buy) getting a very bad bid-to-cover ratio. That makes me realize that the LTRO is not helping as much as expected. I think you were waiting for the results, now you've seen them, you're still holding your positions, so my question to you is... do you think your entry reasons still back up your holding decision?

PK, I haven't done proper fundies so I can not comment on your long positions, but as long as looking at the charts it could become Buma's BUSTED!!! demand (or simply speaking break lower).

I try really hard to keep an open mind to swing whichever way the markets run, or which way I think they will most likely go.
In the E$ pair I'm only about 55 pips underwater, not a big deal with plenty of room to spare on small position size. The bond auctions aren't the only reason I'm long risk going into the end of the year.
I'm not a fundie type but I try to keep my finger on the basics and at least understand and try to interperet what I see.
- The last week of the year and first couple days of the new year statisticly give me a roughly 75% chance of hitting it right going "risk on" for the "Santa Claus" rally.
- Money seeks yield. Big money started pulling out and sitting on the sidelines back in August. They started piling into US bonds big time and have sat out most of the year.
- If this big money on the sidelines in US bonds starts moving back into the markets, the US bond markets will unwind driving up their yields and the equities markets and other risk assets would rally.
- US data has been decent and the US economy has been getting slowly better this year. The US data has been largly ignored with all the headline risk coming out of Europe and what I think is over done fear driven price movements.
- US growth should help China as we seem to buy almost everything they make LOL. China's manufacturing has been contracting a bit but not bad yet. If the US and China can keep moving forward it should help comodities prices and the riskier commodities currencies.
Now on the EU pair, technically she's hitting daily and weekly demand areas. Price is into what has been historically important for many years. Daily the medium term down channel held. The swing low was violated by 12 pips but rallied 100 pips to close with a bullish hammer candle.
For right now I'm sticking too my guns with long EU and long risk across several other pairs but I'll flip the switch to risk off in a heartbeat when I need too without emotion. Thanks for checking on me to see if I'm mentally stable...... I'm not... but I already knew that.
