Hello folks !

Previous data released was US Home Sales - not good and ... insufficient fuel to heat their homes (US Crude Oil Stocks Change - down). No wonder U/C cannot go up

Next data ... US GDP (in 5hrs time) ... projected by consensus to favour USD . Lemme check my technicals how true is that ...

p/s ! I hv closed about +1,673 pips (in U/C) before I hit the sack , and leave the top and bottom as it is about +469 pips for market liquidity

u might want to inch ur stop closer as price just dropped making a supply level.. just my thoughts

Currency: USD/CAD Trend Expected Direction: Up Strategy: Ichimoku Kinko Hyo Description: Impulse wave I have been completed on Oct, 4 2011 followed by a running flat correction completed by wave II. Starting wave III on Dec 8th with i and ii ended at 0.5 Fib level. On chart shown, you notice a turn in Senkou span A&B where shorter run 26 days crossed 52 days which indicate a positive sentiment (Red Circle). We also notice a positive move in Senkou B (Orange Ave) comparing to previous 52 days and that the same apply for Kijun sen (Red Ave). With that in mind, I decided to go long riding wave iii. Maybe I'm missing something, but why the huge drop after positive US economic data. It wasn't mind blowing, but there was a brief rally and it dropped by 50 pips. I'm thinking it will retrace back to 1.0250/1.0260 later in the morning.

I am also not sure but maybe this explains it http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-1...-optimism.html

It basicaly says that the CAD appreciated because of good USD data.

I wonder if we will see some pickup during the London session tonight. There are a number of key economic reports coming out tomorrow, but it is the last day before Christmas so who knows how the markets are going to react. I'm not expecting any fireworks. Judging by the charts though USD/CAD is going nowhere but down...

Among the data ... US GDP is more important . It says ...

2.0% <> 2.0% ---> 1.8% (Hight Impact / Votality) - Sell U/C at rejected RES .
High Impact data = 80 pips to 250 pips.

Ur are also right in there ... expect pull back from 1.0210 / 198 / 168. There are good supports some where there . Regards !
