generally i propose the less hft in an instrument the easier it is to trade. e/u, ES, lots of the highest volume things are rife with hft, bots trading against each other, makes for great liquidity but lotsa noise too.

I had a great Mentor at the start of my trading career. I was a better trader than he was on forex. He only traded futures and traded over a million dollar fund for family, friends and clients. He never traded his own funds. I traded some of his funds mainly Euro Future contracts.

He had ONE MAIN rule for me. Do not leave any open contracts without a Stop Loss.

The part that he helped me one was not trading. It was state of mind.

You cannot have much chance to make profits when you are in a negative state of mind. The reason is obvious.

On the other hand if you are on a High because of some good trades and you have reached your target for the day go for a walk.

I am a much better trader because I give myself breaks. I only trade during certain time frames.

There is a principle concerning alcoholics that says if you can go a week without a drink you probably are not an alcoholic. Try to not trade for a week and then you will know if you are a trader or a gambler.

This is a great thread.

I see EUR/USD testing 130.50 now. The opposite of the initial perception once numbers came out around 5:15 AM

The masses are usually wrong and so you can see why not thinking in the box is a plus.

Watch the money flow. Correlate with other currencies. Be aware of as much as you can and just have fun !!!

It is badly down... and I am not in favor of Long now... ECB lowered interest rates and other Banks are borrowing EUR from ECB? Dont know..

Yes bro,Both (TL's and Price)
I dont have wife and girlfriends - so spend everyday and weekend for draw and draw
very lonely - nobody in my family and friends support me doing this - not much money yet - enough for smoking and car fuel - because been lost a lot before - the hardest part one is disciplines

I do this with most traders on here that I like. I spend hours looking at their charts and posts. After a while you divide the good traders from the bad.
