EUR/USD's recovery from 1.2946 is still in progress and is pressing 4 hours 55 EMA for the moment. Further rise could be seen but note that as long as 1.3212 support turned resistance intact, near term outlook remains bearish and recent decline is still in favor to continue. Below 1.2946 will target 1.2873 support first. However, break of 1.3212 will indicate that a short term bottom is at least formed at 1.2946 and stronger rebound should then be seen to 1.3538 resistance and above.

On the data front, New Zealand current account deficit widened to NZD -4.6b in Q3. Australian leading indicator rose 0.1% mom in October. Japan trade deficit widened to -0.54T in November. BoE minutes will be a main focus today as it should unveil unanimous vote to left policy unchanged in last meeting. UK public sector net borrowing is expected to rise to GBP 16.6b in November. Canadian retail sales are expected to rise 0.4% mom in October with ex-auto sales up 0.3% mom. Eurozone consumer confidence is expected to drop slightly to -21 in December. US existing home sales is expected to rise to 5.09m annualized rate in November.

EUR/USD moving up on open. Look for first resistance and watch for news out near 5:15 AM EST in about two hours. Watch price of Gold and Dow Futures and see if any changes after 6:00 PM EST in PA.

Then we await USA Data

Existing Home Sales is a LAGGING indicator and New Home Sales is a leading indicator.

Good Chart on EUR/JPY

We all know that as EUR/JPY goes up or down it has a large effect on EUR/USD so you should watch both pairs. This is because of USD/JPY that moves things as it becomes a safe haven place to put money.

When the BOJ intervene at times they may Sell JPY and buy Euro however now they may be buying Gold because of the Poo Poo in the Eurozone.

Comments and feedback is most welcome and now again I will try to log off and get some beauty sleep. Well some sleep anyway.

Good morning all.
1.32 area now seems to be within reach.
The rising channel on the H1 chart has been violated and price is now re-testing the UTL from the top side as support. If it fails to fall through, this should provide a nice bounce to another leg higher.

Meanwhile, the falling channel on H4 is still intact however, the UTL has not yet been reached and it is currently above the 1.3210 shorting target I have in mind. In this area we have a confluence of resistance including the previously broken support (unfinished business) and the 50% fibo of the move down from 1.3548 to 1.2944

Just missed by sell limit by 12 pips. Next push up will hit it but due to the better than expected LTRO participation, I may move my limit order up further at around 1.3250 depending on what price does next.
