Agree, self-published books shouldn't be expensive, if they are, I def would stay away too. ... But yeah, I've learned much from this board too. And I think with everything there is free info around but sometimes finding the right set of info for the particular individual is tough so for some it may be more convenient to just pay for something nicely packaged together already. or a mix of both.

I have learned so much from studying traders on this forum compared to any book/product. Most of what I find in books I later find on the internet somewhere for free.

That's just me, I stick to the retail published books and keep away from expensive self-published books.

Youre hoping to see 1700 as a tp on a long you'll open or for another place to short? Its hard to know which way the new trend will take off. I.e will be bullish and break 2000 or further bearish and well god knows where it'll find support.. For me I'm waiting for 1480 maybe send in a sall long I'll see how price is acting at that level if we have heavy downward pressure 1300 awaits if both fail well then we are in for some unbelievable long opportunities.. Silver has been very weak the past month or two and as the two are positively correlated I believe one is dragging down the other at a fast pace. My eyes are set on 27 in silver and possibly 23 then when and if we hit them I'll see of gold is at a reasonable support level and go long.. Thats just my thinking behind it anyway..

i hope this crud rally aint short lived...

+22 on eu long and +10 on dow long
i dont wait countless days to go long for nothing...




now its either the SNB, or the 5 CB's that can kick this rocket fuel up
i have a feeling some banks are already almost sinking so bad they need a bailout. so please banks intervene again.

I would short at 1700. Corrections take time to work themselves out. I believe the current trend is down and I will believe we have hit bottom when I see some convincing PA off of a support.

I don't think 1.35 is too far but it is now less likely. We'll just have to see how price action goes.

Technically, the way things are right now, if it is ready to correct without going lower, we should see one of these fibo levels before the end of December:
1.3250 (23.6%)
1.3440 (38.2%)
1.3595 (50.0%)
1.3750 (61.8%)

In support of your idea though, you will find that the major Psycological barriers like 1.40 or 1.35 are typcially soft barriers. The real barrier is 50pips above or below. And we have a 20 pip 5 min bull bar off of 1.295

Could the sell off be attributed to traders liquidating their trades to cover longs? Or is there something else at play?
Rod, I am walking away in one piece from gold right now.
In light of the recession in Europe, and the liquidity/insolvency crisis, traders and investors are more likely than not to liquidate all assets for cash. Gold is used as a hedge to other risks. If one liquidates their risk exposure, then there is no longer a need to hold gold as a hedge. Also the way it has come down lately, I'd say we're in a major correction which is snowballing and tripping stops like mad. Once it settles and ranges a bit (forms a good solid base) I wil reassess and then decide... no matter where price is. At this rate I would not be surprised to see $1000

Well looking at my charts I agree that has not been a solid base in a long time only around the major 1000 level.. I'm on the fence when it comes to commodities especially at the moment I'm just watching Gold and Brent which both in the future possess excellent long opportunities I'm looking for 97.60 in Brent maybe sometime in January I'll see how price acts for now just trade the short term until I get my signal and run with it!

we might have a terror day on the 17th. The destruction saturn comes to play. god saturn is always the wrecker.

venus opposition saturn. saturn is a big planet, so any effects would be catastrophically huge. if we can reach PT's level's by then...
that might be the crash.


square is one negative aspect. opposition is double the worse than that. its where the two bodies REJECT each other the most.

venus planet of love kindness, and romance and it is planet of moeny believe it or not.. saturn... oh god. saturn is limitation and restriction. it reminds us of boundaries and limits...
Saturn rules FEAR. saturn in greek mythology was chronos a titan who ate up his son.
not very positive for saturn.
