Afternoon, folks.

A nice flag retracing to the Main Pivot line after a dramatic drop, followed by another drop to just above S1. Wonder if anyone knows exactly why there's been these large movements in Cable and Fibre today? Obviously something to do with the "gasbags" in the EU Summit, but can anyone narrow it down, I wonder?

I can thank acumen for that, F007. It was seeing his charts that helped me. Sadly, from what I've heard, he's no longer on the trading scene, but I'll always be grateful for him showing us how simple trading can be. Whatever he's doing now, I wish him well.
After the bullish piercing pattern across the mid-point line, price advanced upwards in fits and starts. Entry and exit as shown.

A nice flag pattern across a psych-line (Pivots were no longer in play after R3 was breached). Entry just above the high of the breakout candle and exit as shown.

With such a small range on Mon don't really think pivots would be worth much today in any event. A very nice trade though. With $ weak across the board and some strength in cad and aud they gave some nice trades today also.

Unfortunately, not been able to trade today due to other commitments, but I've been keepin an eye on developments.

I'm posting a chart of the 5m EU, showing the great opportunities that cropped up since this morning. None of which I took advantage of, I might add!

1) A wedge rising to the Main Pivot line. Potentially 30 pips approx.
2) Probably a BE trade after a pull-back to the mid-point line.
3) A bearish engulfing pattern right on the mid-point line. Potentially 35 pips approx.
4) A short spell of consolidation on S1, with a hanging-man and a doji forming before price dropped, giving approx. 20-23 pips.
5) Another bearish engulfing pattern slightly below S1, after the engulfed
candle tested for resistance. Potentially 27 to 48 pips on offer,
depending on where one chose to exit.
