I still can't figure out this trading mallarkey, maybe I should start a signal service or something......

Looking at 2 pullback areas. first is .3375 and the second is 3357, daily pvt. will see, then long if confirmed.

Moody's slashed the long-term debt ratings of three big French banks this morning. Specifically, they lowered BNP Paribas and Credit Agricole's long-term debt rating by one notch to Aa3. The also lowered Societe Generale's long-term debt rating by one notch to A1.
In separate statements for each of the banks, Moody's pointed to the deteriorating economic outlook and increasing difficulty in raising capital on the open markets.

I wouldn't say it was a bad idea, buying towards the bottom of the congestion anticipating another run and maybe a break for only a small SL, on the money for me.

So long as you take the small loss and don't watch it descend....

Good for you mate, I happy for you, that means that you are a good trader.

My sarcasm was not direct to you as I already explained, was direct to the bullies, the ones that make other feel bad when occasionally they have a few winning trades in a very easy market. Today is not that easy (but not that difficult either) and bullies were not around.

Trades I took today

 

  1. Sell Limit at 1.33616 triggered, covered at 1.32967
  2. Buy Stop at 1.32967 triggered, covered at 1.34266
  3. Sell Limit at 1.34266 triggered, waiting to cover it at 1.33616 to end the week.

Well, I'm in a very similar short and my stop is at 460. Nice to know I'm not the only one. Called it somewhat wrong i think!? Not that i think it won't come good for me (it may not of course) but with a bit more patience it could have come gooder!!!

I really am in limbo here, am only up 30 pips on that trade. Maybe I should do what MrPip does and go work for a broker who pays me 10p for every post I put here misdirecting the noobies, that should keep me in jellybabies for a week or so.

Ah feck it, I just buy the freakin jellybaby factory.

I always play the congestion that way that I buy the bottom if the trend has been long with a tight stop and reverse if it breaks down and if the trend had been down I would sell near the top with a tight stop and reverse.

It saves taking the breakout and getting stuck with a big loss when it fails. and keeps both directions open. Just don't be mind set that it is going one way or the other.

thats what I do anyway
