Market Comment:
Using the EU M15 chart as an example, we can see the power of the BBs. No doubt EU was to drop. It dropped yesterday, and it dropped today. But just before the drop, look how the BBs were able to spike the price up,.......hitting SL orders on shorts, forcing "buys" to close them, enabling the BBs to peddle off their longs to those forced to "buy to close" their stopped out shorts, and also to those wanting to buy because they thought the price was going higher! This was an 80+ pip drive up! That is powerful price manipulation.
With whipsaw ability such as this, so demonstrably executed by the BBs, it is enough to make one wonder if SLs should even be used! Yes, they should. Suppose you had entered the early London session PA wave for a SonicR short with an EP around 1.3395, and with a SL maybe between 1.3415-1.3430. Yes, your SL was hit. But once PA started back down, a viable re-entry as price broke the whole number 1.3400 again would have gained you 100 pips. Subtract your original trade loss of maybe 25-35 pips from the profit of the re-entry trade, and you're nicely ahead at the end of the day!
Never forget the power the BBs have to manipulate prices. But also, don't let such occurrances entice you into changing from the right way to trade. For me, these are two ideas I get out of the exhibition today. The third idea is that the notable whipsaws on USD currency pairs, prior to the prices then moving in favor of USD, is an indication that the "market" is switching to being bullish on USD, because those whipsaws enabled the "market" to farm off a lot of "wrong side trades" in view of a change in "market" sentiment.
