markets are waiting for the 9 december decision summit to seal the fate of euro, scalping 5 to 10 pips is more advisable till then

a rate cut means short term weakness but long term strength
a rate hike means short term strength but long term weakness

short term is a few days to less than a month

a rate hike invites more investors, but increases debt, which in turn increases the burden on the economy as a whole

so far ECB is fighting debt with more debt, and as the bond yields increase the debt burden on the economy increases

this means that either they need to print more money to meet the needs of the increased debt or cut down on government spending

either case leads to more inflation in the economy and hence higher risk of loss of jobs.

That is similar to the strategy I use. My win rate is very high and very consistent. For those struggling, try to apprehend what Yuchen suggested. It certainly works for me.

i dont think ECB will cut their rate by 50 bps, but regards your question, when it actually happens (and the prediction is they keep the rate same), then it would be a super bad news for EU and it should let EU go down maybe by 100 pips in couple minutes. However, ECB should not cut rate this time in my opinion, although they might will cut it sometimes next year.

My current euro short is about at the break even point.

Should I just pull out right now or stay in before the rate decision?

If I pull out and the price moves lower in the next several hours, I'll be kicking myself. But then again, the opposite could happen as well, before the rate decision, leaving me in a bad spot.

when have you taken this trade. see you have to take ur own trading call and play according to your own strategy. If I were you I would stay out until the ECB rate decision comes. Infact I would not trade for 1 hr after the ECB rate decision comes.

Use stop loss, if goes your way ok, if goes opposite you stopped, trade over look for next opportunity, sl is your friend not enemy
