Another lesson for trailing a trade.

Another good way to trail a trade to let it run is to move your stop as it makes technical supply / demand levels.

On this chart it made a supply level on the five before breaking lower. you could trail your stop just above this level and let it run moving it down again if it makes anothe level and breaks lower again.

Best to pick one method you like best and stick to it, trendlines, BB mean, technical levels....... it all averages out about the same in the end.

Speaking of trailing stops working, I just got stopped for a handful of green pips on that spike because a talking head was running his mouth. Oh well, at least they were green.

Yea, exactly. I still remember what happened before Oct summit. Hope rally to ,42. Wtf was that? I dunno. But I expect Draghi will do his best to boost confidence. Something like, "we will not let the banks fall, blah blah blah". Or "We are prepared to immediately cut interest rates, bla blah blah".

ECB said to consider two-year loans for banks
ECB said to look at allowing more uncovered bonds as collateral
Interest rate cut is expected, only size is up for discussion
No big surprises there. Long-term refis have been rumored to be extended up to 3-years in the recent days, so 2-year loans would be a mild disappointment.
EUR/USD popped to 1.3400 for a second before easing back to 1.3375. Only real surprise tomorrow would be a cut of greater than 25 bp to the main refinancing rate.

I call it a news spike. You can't read PA from a single candle but overall it is more bearish than anything. Also , the top is a place where there is a lot of supply, and price has a tendency to, sooner or later, seek supply.

What got lost in the ECB headlines was news that a German government spokesman said there will be no deal on IMF laid for the euro zone at the EU summit…
Looks like Germany is going out of its way to lower expectations ahead of the summit. That runs counter to the usual strategy of selling hot air ahead of every meeting.
