I am experimenting with gold... shorting it... wow, does it know how to crash... go to the bathroom, come back, and it is down 70 pips. Close out, hit it again, when it is up another 30 pips, go to the bathroom again, come back... down 60 pips.

For all the bravado PA has exhibited today, it is yet to effectively take out the 50% Fib of the last NFP swing. For me, this is the chart I'm watching

I caught something last night (probably on Forexlive) Talk of big stops just above 1.3550. Seems once talk is out about where stops are they often get run quickly.

Well, todays range is just about 65 pips. So sooner or later it should break out and go the other 65 pips it needs for an average day.

Do you guys think rising oil price is going to have a bad effect on all the currency pairs?

PS: I can not dream on having my own car / bike in this scenario :S

The way to trade a stop run is to be already strapped in with your finger on the eject button.

Is anybody actually in a trade on the EUR/USD or is everybody waiting a watching?

Once there are enough buyers contaged with the hopium & stops at around .3500 & 1.3600 taken out. I am staying out and will watch what happens next.

Some people already made some money in Range Trading ..if you are like to then may be u still have some space ... bet better stay out ... u know when somebody wakes up from a long sleep what happens?

Actually I am curious to see if all the countries are buying oil in that much of higher price..which clearly shows getting more higher in the coming days ...then there an inflation is waiting for all the currency pairs .. i think this is going to weaken the currency pairs in near future .. so we may have big Red candles waiting for the pairs and then more ZIgZag :S

The time to go long today was at 1.3400 area +/- 5 pips.
The time to go short was the first test of 1.3455 resistance for a quick scalp.

Now is the time to exercise extreme caution. Although I fully expect it to be a bullish day, I must keep in mind that I am not psychic

It is the other way around my friend.

Looks like nitpicking but it is a serious difference.

If it was just oil that was rising, I would blame it on speculative vultures.
When you see most risk asset futures rallying, then it's risk-on markets.
There is a clear difference.

..Could you please explain this a bit .. I am interested to have a comprehensive view and the effect you are expecting on the currency pairs in near future.
