@RJ, Jack... oh gawd pls don't remind me of last years december.. sick market, no trends, impulsive buying - candles appearing out of nowhere. it was my premiere on a real account, EU M1 only, 8 months demo >10hrs a day before it (yep i had a very brief encounter with fx earlier in 2008 but didn't take it seriously). i really couldn't choose a better date to start off. one stopout after another, everything was way different, psychology trapped.. of course the reason was simple: i didn't know how to trade. i started with a $4K account.. lost nearly 30% within a month and a half, risking only 1% per trade! then i went back to demo and then to pennies, the normal (now around $3K) acc is dormant, if everything proceeds like last 2-3 months i see a chance to revive the bigger acc soon (not now).

this system is giving me confidence, confirmation and pretty solid guidance even though i'm not a strict follower, one more big thank you Eval

Hello,

I have been testing many indicators and programs to determine which combinations will work the best and most importantly which combinations are the most reliable especially in a whipsaw market like we are having today.

From all my studies and research I would like to put forth the following program for your evaluation and feedback. I call this program the

Yeah......last December was rubbish.......I stopped trading at about the 15th and didn't start again until Jan 12th (I think). I'll probably do the same this year because it's summer here....starting today in fact......so it's time to relax......mind you.....I'm more relaxed no that I was last year!!

Hi and welcome to the Factory , there are no 'last' indicators or templates - the last version is in post #1 and has everything needed for trading the strategy successfully. It has not changed at all since the beginning - it's a sign of very thorough research and testing done by Eval, before he even decided to publish it. There is a lot of another indicators and templates posted in the thread but all these are either experimental or some people use them individually, but obviously they are not a significant enhancement of the system.

if i see a sell signal on M5 i will probably take it, M15 i would hesitate - not enough room maybe,

seems the price is compressing and could fall down to the bottom of the flag ~3400-3440. i don't think much lower (if at all). the market wants to go up, 3500 is a biggy of course, there might be some option games around 10est. ADP in 30 mins, ISM 2.5hrs later, NFP tomorrow => anything can happen. in case of a solid breakout, i see 3660 as next target. time will tell. i don't know anything. nobody does.

Mohammad,
Please read the thread. The whole thread, although long, will give you what you seek. Write down any questions that come up. Apply what is discussed here. Then trade. And as you do this, write down any other questions. Then please ask them here. We will be glad and answer them at that point.

Hi Eval, MJ, RJ,

Have been trading SEFC for nearly a month. Profitable so far.

Just a noob question,

If i am trading, lets say yesterday as an example.
There is Extreme Spike Bottom in m5 and m15,
of course i would be looking for Buy signals.
However market does not go up, instead it went down.

I totally missed the downmove because extreme spike bottom is preventing me to go short.

I am thinking, should i put a sell stop at the extreme spike bottom?

Opinions and advise much appreciated. Thanks

You made the right choice not to go in. The problem with going in there is that you open yourself up to areas with no volatility. If you look at 16:45 on the 29th as an example, if you'd have gone short at that time on the basis of your theory, and you would have likely hit a SL before a TP despite the big drop later on.

Remember that the theory isn't just about making profit, it's also about removing any exposure you might have to loss. It's annoying when the indicators don't all match up and you miss out, but you generally miss out due to a bigger picture that if you applied to your entire method would cause you losses.

Think of it like a game of boxing. Would you rather wait for the perfect moments to hit a haymaker, or would you prefer to get more hits but as a result drop your guard more often? This method sets you up for big haymakers with only 20% ish exposure to loss, that's pretty good going.

One step further, and that is proper MM will have you in the game for the long haul. Eval's MM using the ARS is very conservative, and look at the results he's posting as a result of it.

For the record, Evals mm is not that conservative but still it's livable. Everywhere I have ever read says to never expose yourself to more than 2% risk . I know forex traders risking 20% per trade but that's not proper mm. Eval's mm is essentially risking 5% per trade. 0.1 lot per 1000 with a 50 pip stop loss. 0.1 lots is $1 a pip * 50 for stop loss = $50 exposure. $50 / $1000 = 5%. I am not saying don't do it but for sure don't call it conservative. 2% is standard so anything less is conservative.

My trading is a work in progress, as with most traders. Yet the Symphonie sys is as close to a Holy "anything" as I have ever found.

Most traders like to trade like being in a car on a street in a city. They can only see maybe 1 city block ahead of themselves. I like to trade like I'm riding in a airplane, so I can see every street, building, city, vista, and beyond.
I trade from the 1 and 5 min charts for entries, then move to the 1 hr to manage the...

CasinoEdge,

Thank you for your comments. Nice write up. As I have said many times....you have to trade the way you feel most comfortable and I set my rules up to help people have some structure to their trading strategy and many it seem adapt to suit their needs. But it please me very that people are having success.

Keep it up....

Thank you for your explicit outline of your successful trading process.

Its no doubt that what Eval unleashed here has been an eye opener for many and has drawn support from many wise people. All I've got to do is to trust in simplicity, be disciplined and follow through with courage. Its that simple
