Wait for Friday after NFP to confirm if it will be bullish for a month to come. Regardless of euro problems because they are trying to cover it up or fudge it up. But the truth once again will come out in late Jan or Feb.

I have an idea: At the end of the year you can prepare the Muppet Awards of 2011 and rate the top 10 muppets on the forum!!!

yes I agree with you, they are trying to hide something on euro and before everyone knows this, euro will fly sky high. I am long bias on euro next month

I think many traders feel the need for "gap trading" because it does exist in the stock market (as well as others). There are entire strategies that revolve around gap trading as you so well know. And brokers showing it on our screens doesnt help either. I also fell for it until you started denying it at the top of your lungs. Well, the main culprit is feed and not knowing deep enough how real bank feeds show or work.

Unless the market is consistently irradic, I no longer use stops. I position small enough to where I ride out the market when it goes against me and add more to my position at the peaks. Sometimes I come way ahead or break even but rarely lose. Of course, there are those daffy 300-500 runs 4-5 times a year where I just have to cut my losses (but now without a 50% retrace).

I noticed...
its been a while I tried martingaling, until i lost 25% on a usdcad trade without SL at 700 pips back in 2009, oh well !!! but my starting positions used to be quite larger than what i have now...

so i think now my positions are 1/5th of that i should give it a try again working w/o SL

no I know that im in good zone on Eur/aud. the below line is a very well good support. check weekly to see what I mean. and besides, Im a swing trader so I will let my position open as long as 1 month, so really Im in good shape

well in stocks i heard (i heard) gaps happen due to liquidity gaps also in fx that happens for few pips sometimes in lower tfs easy to spot and also in low liquidity those ticks can really mess up

but weekend gaps are imaginary.

obvious trap to see half or third gap close right? but then BANG. trap.

trade like there is no 'gap'/
