It is not the Fed's responsibility to do this nor is it in the US's interest.
Europe is more than capable of bailing itself out. All they need to do is print more Euros.
Don't worry, the plan will be very clear soon. The richer EZ members will bail out the poorer ones in return for fiscal supervision, Eurobonds will be issued by the ECB and Europe will be a happy place again in about 10 years. In the mean time, the Euro will devalue (probably to par with USD) and Europe's export market will soar, providing employment for all and pensions at 50

Not directly related to this thread, but does anyone uses the Save As Detailed report facility of MetaTrader4?

I find it absolutely amazing for analyzing trader's activity and overall performance. I used to keep detailed logs of all my trades in Excels, but for now I think I will just keep the main numbers, like P/L and variations in Excels and for the rest stick with these reports.

I understand! Make sure you keep a close eye on daily and 4hr charts. You will prevent the paranoia of long term trades. You see the big picture, but that comes with studying your charts daily.... It takes 10,000 hrs to master a skill.. Keep up the fight you're in the right place

IMHO,
I wouldn't classify cooperative central Bank intervention as "nothing".
They are the ones who can move this market wherever, whenever they choose, regardless of technicals. This is actually a fundamental move by the CBs to change the landscape by providing liquidity from being frozen as in 2008, nothing? Hardly. Short-lived? Definitely.

FF has trade Explorer to track your trades. Check it out.

I agree, but we know the risk involved. You should never trade if you're timid. Emotional traders lose in the long run. I suggest demo for at least 9 months then small lot trades between 1/10-1/4 lot sizes. $250 deposit will suffice until trader is ready to up the margin. If you blow the $250 just look at it as a nice dinner The catch is the experience. Make sure you document all successes and mistakes. That's the holy grail of trading!

Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look at it. What I like the most at these reports is how I can backtrack my behavior and find the hot spots. So far, these are:

- bigger loses than wins (in terms of cash, not as numbers, I still have more winning trades)
- unstable trading behavior (jumping in, revenge trading) based on the number of consecutive wining and losing traders.

So those are the spots I have to work on.

but that alone is 22 days from now.... released my long +135 last long...

will miss that long badly.

but hey thats possible alo, but we also got 3380 meet at same 22 days from now. pft, ill just play the momentum so far.

What I think they are doing is trying to frontrun a liquidity crunch so we don't end up with a credit freeze where nobody can get a loan and everything comes to an immediate stop like happened with the Lehman crisis.

Exactly.
Note that they have had this swap window available since 2008. All they did today was lower the rate by 50bps and reiterated that it will be available for an indefinite period of time.

Perhaps we are talking about the same thing? What I am thinking about is hundreds of billions, perhaps trillions of dollars lent to European banks. I don't think that the US is going to buy toxic European debt.
