i think the gap eventually will close but it doesn't mean it will be close by today..

Don't think that there are bankers somewhere shouting "Men! Man the terminals, we MUST close that gap!". There is no logic to it, in fact, those banks don't even see a gap, only retailers and retailers sure as hell don't move the markets.
agree, there is no gap for these people. gap is what retailers see.

FYI, EUR/AUD just close it's gap that its made on 18 November, now it can proceed North again without turning back. It will again close the gap which was done today but when?? No one knows but not for long..

Just make sure you guys dont put everything in as if your account depends on it.

Yeah I'm saying that a gap normally does close, but that doesn't mean it has to, or that there is any reason for it. Back in august a gap didn't close for 2 weeks. In July there was one that went over 300 pips the other way before turning around.

Also, if you want to go further back, the gap from 26/9 - 29/9 2008 did not close for 57 days, and went 2000 pips before turning around. And on the Aussie there were 2 gaps in September that didn't fill till late October. It just seems fairly random to me, but if you can make it work, congratulations.

I shouldn't have started this argument, I'm sorry.

how about this for your strategy.

does not matter what you do, if you are willing to hold your trade for 4 years, you can make some profit. this would be statistically to your favor.

and people call themselves traders?

No prob, As I said, whatever the situation is, make sure you have enough $$ to sustain, put a SL if necessary, the higher it goes , more people will short and when there is enough bear to chase the bull, you win your trade except for those who blow their account..

Go search "trade the gap" online, you'll see a lot of people talking about it. And ur missing out, I've made 100's of thousands trading the gap over the years...

I am agree. so far I have covered 20 pips . then it bounces back again. short again. maybe the gap will be filled up on NY session

I trade based on daily trends, not weekly or monthly. When Im on the wrong trend, I cut loss and ride the actual trend again. I dont keep my position for that long.

For EUR/USD case, I have my SL at 1.35, another sell limit @1.34, and my TP is 1.32, where it goes I wont blow my account for sure.

i am utterly shocked by euro...

every entry that i make...seems to end up in a consolidation within secs!

awwww, i wanna to have a good and fresh record starting this week and this is what i get!

i really wish i could have a 50 pips or more profit in a single trade. i'm sick of winning 7 pips and losing 30 pips....all the time. the cycle is endless!!!

then trade the range, mark out the highs and lows and wait for the price to hit one of those two levels and act appropriately... not hard, i've already taken out 147 pips in the last couple of hours scalping

I have the same problem few years back mate. I solved it by using the limit order but you have to be very patience with the price and you might miss some trade by 1 or 2 pips. The hardest thing to overcome (in my experience) is to let the price go if your limit order doesn't get triggered.

the hardest thing for me is to make sure the price doesn't range all the bloody time i make an entry.

history has proved me WRONG all the time. when i use sl, the price seems to move EXTREMELY slowly with numerous attempts to hit my sl.

when i remove my sl (due to frustration), MIRACLE happens! the bloody price will move EXTREMELY fast against me with great hatred!

............ it seems that the stupid euro is going to hit my sl very soon.

for those people whom waiting for the gaps be filled. well as far as I know, it wont... today is the reversal trend for euro until next month.. EURO long. the euro is way oversold already. please follow price action. this level is great great to buy it.

That's what the market do mate, it always plays with our emotions. By the way, if you can't control your emotion, you have no business in this dangerous game mate. Technical analysis is simple, anyone can study on how to gauge the market but the hardest thing is to control your emotion and to accept defeats (to cut loss) and winnings (to take profit).

my USD/SEK is doing great already. I know from today until next month, USD will ldown a little, so I have to follow. I have nice setup already.
