I know fundamentally the Euro should be getting hammered but I do believe that we shouldn't close right on the lows, It feels like we may attract a bid close to the close and we may finish 1.3300 or higher.

Latest: Fitch cuts Belgium sovereign credit rating to AA from AA+

Just for fun, to add more confusion into divergence topic.

I use simple momentum, but only as a support tool.

Divergence appeares on lower periods first and then slowly shifts to longer and longer periods.

Mathematically speaking, no divergence has to occur, but if you properly set your indicators you can see it pretty often.

The attached chart is H1 closing prices since 20.11 till now.

Purple line is price and there are three momentums included.

Green - 10 periods (hours) - shows weak divergence
Red - 30 - stronger divergence
Blue - 60 - no divergence

Take your pick.

seems so & bull may try do it close daily at that level as weekly close at 3400 previous is still a long way to go & seems not possible today & if only close today may get life for a good bounce & if above or low then further disaster likely may come next week .chances be there for next day also , volalities reduced I see already .

just s&p, fitch retracted it says they didn't, wasn't much of a move anyway, i only scraped 11pips out of it

Oh of course I entirely agree with that but Sentiment just isn't reflecting a fair value in my opinion at this level. I have no bets on this and am all cash for the weekend.

Me too. Sometimes, when I am bored on weekend I tend to write sick macros to have another angle of view on markets. This is outcome of one of them, I aint using it. I just wanted to point out that you can look at divergences from many and many angles.

Its 200 pips from my entry point..everyone can and will have a stop hit, even guys that use 1000 pip stops.

The "edge" is not in the stop, obviously..but its a big part of the edge that very few if any traders have.

Let the price lead. Then we can talk about fair value. Follow the trend, you're only wrong once within that trend.
