Could very well be the case, but I wouldn't like to make such a concrete definitive shout. Only 3 directions price can go....up, down or sideways. Which ever way it goes, I have a plan, so I'm not surprised.

Plenty of people were 100% sure today would offer up a nice solid retrace. Which it may yet still do.

For those of us that were not playing forex in 2008, this is the USD/CAD weekly chart. Please note both the breakout pattern and the look of full on panic.

This does not show up as well on the Eur/usd because the Euro had the Greek crisis part I in 2009.

Ok back. It sucked out of the markets.

Anyway, just a recount since 10.11. This trend was almost 217% strong. Strongest bearish trend since 4.10. But you all see it on your charts, dont you.

Nevertheless, here are some numbers showing fading strenght of bulls. 120% downtrend was the first sign.

Downtrend from 8.11. - 38421, which fell to 34963 at 10.11, had 258,6%.

If it wasnt for that damn holiday I think we could go lower to 258% to 1,328 to retest strenght of bears. Anyway, I am glad I am already short from far above.

So right now, it is second strongest downtrend.

I would just make a quick post.
Taking the Euro/USD daily on 6 month chart.
Placing another pair daily chart on 6 month directly underneath.
One should be able to see quite a different price action pattern.
It is said every pair has its own character. When one compares the Euro /USD chart with something like the GBP/USD or Aud or CHF or Cad, it looks like the Euro is under high stress. It is nothing but an endless series of wicky candles.

Judging if the scenario for a sick currency as the Fundamentals would direct is valid, well compare its "look" with other pairs. PA confirms it.

Would also add that as of yesterdays close I would have said we just had a swing low. Bears were in Bear heaven as does it get any better then a failed bond auction for Germany. Merkel made it clear today that it may.

If looked at today the 4 hour is showing a breakdown from 1.3450 support with a small pullback and beginning a resumption of downtrend. Daily an undecided doji maybe with a slightly bearish close to come.

The USD index looks as if it wants to test the 80 level currently. If US retail sales on black friday come in at or above expectations then would suspect that is tommorrows big event. baring a meltdown striking Europe.

Hey foto, we are dying of boredom here.

Part of the "wicky" nature of the Eur/usd is that it is actively traded in three different markets. So as it goes around the world, the Asians express one opinion, the Eurpeans another and then the Americans. Each market expresses a different opinion on what price should be. Most other currencies have a deadzone -- or two. For example the USD/CAD is most active in the US market, while the GBP/USD is mostly active in the European and American sessions.

The USD/YEN is actively traded in 3 different markets and it is also very "wicky".
