Just a small piece of advice. Always set a fixed or mental sl and NEVER scale into loosers. If not this will eventually kill you account. I know what I'm talking about

Isn't this precisely what happened after 2008. Banks just didn't lend to each other or trust each other.

Well of course but if you keep saying to yourself that you are not wrong it you are many pips underwater then you are in fact lying to yourself and that can never be any good.

yep me too - in the past I added to losing positions, sometimes it works but when it doesn't you're doomed!!

obviously if you buy at the top of a swing and then keep buying it as it drops, that is a wrong entry and you are wrong for even making the first buy. However, if market turns around, you can still be a winner

A good strategy is to open two positions at a point like this. Then, when you get about 20 pips, close one and set the SL on the other to zero. usually it is also best to wait for confirmation with a reversal signal of some sort such as a pin bar or tweezer bars.
