Point taken. This is point of view I wasnt thinking about, and it is a viable one. I think the difference here will be between income classes. It forces higher income classes to spend and invest, which is good. But how about low income class? Those people need more than just eat. They need to save money so they can buy house or send kid to college.
Deflation sucks for sure, coz it ruins export

Ok, I may have missed with my previous statement here. I dont think state who has inflation is always socialistic. But socialistic state wants inflation. And imo US is socialistic state. Long time ago it was capitalistic.
I already acknowledged that modest enhancing of money supply is a very good road for heading out of recession. But our socialistic Europe didnt have inflation so far. At least not as massive as US.
Regarding Japan, well, once I am finished with shorting Euro into oblivion, I will have a closer look at JPY, because I think Japan is very very soon going to have serious trouble. Rationale behind this statement is aging population in Japan and ofc their massive debt. GDP will slow down and eventually stop and then they are going to be in the same mess like Europe now.
To get to the conclusion, I think that neither inflation and neither deflation is good. You always have to be modest and balance imports and exports. Too much inflation is harmfull and FED produces too much.

Inflation increases the incentive to both consume and invest. Money buried in the back yard loses value.
And the opposite of inflation... deflation... usually (though not always) comes hand in hand with depression.

Whats more, if they actively encourage inflation, they might find their way out of the deficit mess.
