NB, you might want to try this script which has multiple options on closing orders and pending and.... Use it all the time myself.. Cheers

Thanks for sharing your opinion. Yes, I lost pretty much in trading this item. Central banks, FED, money flow, etc... we can't cover all those information. However, I'm trying to "read" what price is telling us. It'd be the same for all commodities and currencies. We're in Asia so gold is still a good option.
Have a nice Sunday!

Does anyone have a working close all pending orders script. The ones I have only close on pair at a time. I would like to have one that closes all of them at once.
Ignored
you can try this one, working great, here are the parameters you can set

// Set this parameter to the type of closing you want:
// 0- Close all (instant and pending orders) (Default)
// 1- Close all instant orders
// 2- Close all pending orders
// 3- Close by the magic number
// 4- Close by comment
// 5- Close orders in profit
// 6- Close orders in loss
// 7- Close not today orders

put this in ....MetaTrader 4\experts\scripts

great thread you have here, love to read

Forex can only be understood backwards, but it must be traded forwards.

Sometimes I am stupid and dont understand some things. Can anyone explain why people would be buying the Euro like this. I mean poor NZD is getting killed versus the euro. I mean I know it is sinking some against other pairs but not like this. How in the world can a currency that is teetering on one side of the world just be flat taking out a currency on the other side. Dont understand this one at all. Any NZD fundamental guys out there?? If you have been following S/R levels you would be buying a new car now of off the eur/nzd. I know my systems says buy but dang the Euro right now???? Sheeeeeeeesh.

NBob - it's all about repatriation of funds. I saw a bank research report in the week asking the same question. It seems plausible. France reportedly sold boats loads of foreign currency and converted it into Euro to satisfy banks' capital holding ratios. Plus the ECB has been buying up Euros too. I often follow zerohedge.com in the day who report a lot of this stuff.

In any case - I have often found that we miss out on some great moves when trying to think fundamentally. I have often watched on the sidelines as strong trends emerge, married to my view. The way I have figured things is that I can't be a tech trader as well as a fundamental trader. One needs to read what the market is telling one and ditch the bias - which is a lot easier said than done. ;-). In 08 I was convinced we would have the double dip so I tried shorting each peak and lost money. The beauty of your system and trading PASR is that you just trade what the market is telling you. After all, how can one man, with very limited information, have en edge and be smarter (fundamentally) than the market? That is the way I view things. The trend is your friend till the bend at the end!!

Well I guess you are right on that one, thanks for the info, but it still does not make sense to me. Then again fundamentals never really do. I understand retracements and why they happen but this is just a plain runaway, wish I had followed my chart on that one. Got pending orders sitting all over the place on this one waiting for it to return but ................... my sell Euro bias is biting me in the as...................... That is the thing about Forex, when you think you should be selling ...........?????

It is always a crazy thing when looking at markets, but with the way the U.S. and Japan keep weakening their currency someone at one point has to go up, even if they shouldnt. I actually just started reading an interesting book on it called Currency Wars, Ill post the name of the author once I get home.

But his main point is with all the QE from the U.S. and Japan intervening so much, the euro is the only other big player that can rise against the other pairs. So fundamentally it should go down, but when everyone else is going down they will go get technically stronger.

Plus Banks had been parking Euro assets in NZD and AUD for the positive yield effect. As their interest rates were higher than the Euro area, banks achieved positive yield on the difference. As soon as there is a sniff of that differential closing then funds are repatriated. But you would think the opposite effect was taking place in xxxeur pairs where other countries were selling eur to get out? I guess the buying power of the Eur area banks is greater than the selling of the other nations trying to ditch the Euro?
Still, just follow your MAs and breakouts. Then who cares about the underlying?? ;-)

Well the big countries are still buying euros and will keep selling their currency at a higher pace than the countries that want out.

Either way your charts will tell the true story just have too look for the signs and forget the speculation news stations give out.

You are right, I just cant seem to want to pull the trigger on a euro sell right now but dang the EUR/NZD would have been a monster winner if I had just watched my charts. Just curious why though, was not expecting or seeing that one.
