I dont say inflation always leads to war. But inflation always leads to rising costs of imports, resulting in unemployment IF you dont produce enough GDP. That is the point I am trying to make. You can live with inflation, but only as long as you produce. Once economy overheats and you aint producing enough GDP, unemployment arises. And thats what causes depression and I consider it cause of 30s depression. Just look at the US unemployment now, look at oil prices.

Dont you think that rising oil prices are kind of affected by FED printing? FED prints and as a result is slowing world growth through rising prices of oil. Thats, imo for sure, one of the causes of current high unemployment rate.

Btw, while beeing here, I suggest you check 35387 level. This zone has been ressistance for whole last week and it is a tough one. Last time it broke we had fast squeee up to 3610 only to retrace immediately back.

Background still weak mate thats the whole importance thing aslong as you have good place for your stops. Market is overall still weak

I'll go diving with you too, held shorts from yesterday @ 1.3525. Glugluglug. The market is acting strangely at the moment so I can't say much.

careful LP, we got lots of stop orders there, urs included trend is up. supply is used up, h1 inverted h/s possible stop hunt till 70s if 50 is cleared.

It is interesting that you mention stops here.
I don't like feeding the stop hunters and therefore I do not use them at such proximity to a potential breakout area. However I babysit my trades.
I am more of a swing trader and I therefore place my stops (sometimes mental ones) two major resistance levels higher. This time around I am more trading on the underlying fundamentals which at the moment see the Euro eventually heading down to the low 1.31xx to the mid 1.2xxx
In the meantime I am waiting for a stop hunt rally to place another short position where ever it may land. I don't really see it happening in the current environment and I have not seen any price action that suggests we will see it this morning... but then there is still the US session.
Thursday being a bank holiday in the US, I suspect the bulls will be pushing it up on that day and Friday (Black Friday), so I am patiently waiting until that time. Mind you there is still a possibility that the market will take us much lower before then which will negate any possible rally from reaching that high.

What are our thoughts on this?

That kinda coincides with my ressistance zone, which is set at 3666 - 3689. I hope we wont get there. That wouldnt be snorcheling but scuba diving. Well I like scuba diving as well, but it is very expensive hobby.

it is a tough on ebut for some reason i see this thing still comeback to the 1.3650 region atleast hope so now just scalping this pig if whe get there this week time to unload some bigger 1s. Some cash markets have still some gaps open. What need to be closed doesnt say it will but there are some stats on some markets and they close them most of the time.
Will see what the week brings hope whe get the big bang the end of the year. Maybe next week or so.

From a macro perspective point eu looks weak but whe have the holidays comming in so many fundmanagers closing the shop for the year. Ussually around holiday times. The liquidity is low so more whoppy price action i still hope whe will revisit in the cash markets for example spx like low volume upmove to add shorts spx 1220 or best case november top. For eu i remember last december whe had whoopy price action spikes 50 pips so really not a enviroment to use tiny stops. Mostly this moves up are imo short covering rallies because the fundmanagers closing there books dont wanna take risk in to the hoidays. So dont be suprised if whe stay like this for the comming time.

I have seen simmilar channel several times, but I dont consider it valid, because that peak in the middle was Veteran day short squeeze, when US markets were closed.

But you know the story with selffulfilling technical indicators. I am pretty sure lots of people have drawn simmilar channel. And there are some yummy margins above 3610. I am starting to wonder if it is possible bulls somehow put great effort in staying above ,35 in order to make some huge squeeze up on Thanksgiving. That would be great day for intervention.

Thanks Ingmar. I appreciate your point of view and I agree that any rallys we get here will be nothing more than short coverings. I am patient so it's not a problem for me... like a sniper I wait for my target to come to me.

thanks Buma - I'm keeping a close eye on things and have very tight stops. the 5 & 15m candles look like it wants to go down (no close above 3546..... yet)
