I traded short today from 3453 too early after existing home sales data and did some kind of reflex tradewith a stoploss at 3468. Exited too soon today long from 3460 to 3494. I don't know why i do that, but that realy sucks. I improved in managing a last trade to keep it open at least so long, becouse i meant to close it down with only a few pips in profit. Which isnt overal profit at all.
What halped me to keep a trade open was to thinking to myself, this is a trade that is working, i have a working trade. This could be my mantra.

If someone is interested
I noticed today how oanda manipulates price.

I was thinking about retracing to this level all the time, and even though EUR didn't, it did not continue the fall either. So for me there is sth wrong with the EUR, and as long as I don't understand this freaking currency, I am on the sidelines

I know it's ZeroHedge but they are the only ones with the balls to say it like it is no matter how biased they may or may not be.

EURUSD Soars On No News: ECB Now Intervening In FX?

Out of nowhere, and based on no news whatsoever, the EURUSD just jumped by 40+ pips in what appears to have been one trade. There is no news to justify this move, as the only possibly related headline to come out was that the Greek finance minister sees parliament vote on the new EUR 130bln aid deal in January. This is neither news, nor is it bullish. In addition, we have information now that Intesa has now been halted on the Italian market due to excessive (downward naturally) volatility. Which begs the question: has the ECB decided it has had enough of bond monetizations and is now actively engaged in FX warfare against the Fed, or are French banks now massively dumping USD assets and buying EUR with the proceeds with indescriminate abandon, as was reported first previously here.

If it's true then it means we are just a biological robots who are very easily manipulated by the environment.

I may not be the greatest tech analyst in the world, but looking at my charts previous resistance has been at 3440-50 which lines up with a short term 61% fib and 150ema looking the 60M. Some potential fib confluence at 3570 as well.

I just think anything past this area is more profit taking than a change in the guard from bear to bull. Like I said though, I'm not the greatest tech analyst in the world. I just try and keep it simple.

A Libyan Lifeline For Unicredit?

Lots of buzz about a Reuters report saying that the Libyans (via the sovereign wealth fund) may recapitalize struggling Italian banking giant Unicredit.
Not sure if that is the source of the euro rally but we’ve tripped the stops above 1.3500.

ADD: Tom brought up a good point earlier today. He said if the moon can influence our ocean's tides and humans are made up of mostly water, what effect does the moon have on us?
Therefore it may be in fact a science rather than just astrological mumbo jumbo

I think it's perfectly reasonable to suspect that. If you start getting into psychology, then there are all sorts of things that can effect us day to day that effect our mood, from the silly and small to the large.

I'm a firm believer in this theory, and that these "big boys" are only human, and are effected by the very same emotions as the guy working in the Spar or petrol station.

And all these trading bots that used are able to remove the emotion, but at their core they are still programmed by humans to look at areas and levels that human behavior and psychology has created in the past.

Human psychology is a very interesting subject. For every question answered another 5 are created
