With Toms chart of risk sentiment showing risk on.
To examine where the USD liquidity comes from to drive up lumber as if the housing depression has come to an end.

The article from knoholygrail has an interesting passage.
In the paragraph interview with Willem Buiter from Citigroup.
It ends with an interpretation by articles author.
"Look for enormous Dollar Swap Facility usage for covering PIIGS bonds, in particular from Italy and Spain. The French Govt Bonds will be next under attack, like in January. Their yields remain low, but they are rising, and the Bund spread is widening. My guess is that the swap facility is already being tapped in heavy volume, on days the Euro currency rises especialy."

So when the Fed floods Europe with USD's via the ECB then the USD devalues as USD is created out of thin air. All properly collateralized of course by the insolvent ECB.

Addendum: My USD index chart went funny again at 5 AM est. this morning
Yesterday the liquidity ended shortly after 4 pm est coincidently with the close of US equities. What a suprise.

Yep, but, does it not count when Angela just mentions the term without saying impossible in the same sentence?

Or in general, German FM doing sth else than complaining. I think many will have clear interpretation, Germany gets softer, they will bail out more. Even though it has no sense, dozen of such riddiculous rumours and theories will come. I remind, that we haven't had too many rumours recently.

And, I guess the market has to decide, which channel it prefers (I am referring to one of the charts I posted earlier). Or break them both. But there is still room to test the upper trendlines of both channels, and plenty to go lower.

ADD: Yeehaw. I just removed all sell limits on live (forgot about them) when price shoot up to the 1.36 level - exactly where the limit was.

Wish I could convince myself to go long this pair. But cannot even type fast enough to keep up with the market gyrations.

Btw,I am very fair person
You also have wrong call before Buma - Today Break the strong resistance just simply you are lucky (Even am Long since 1.3450) Who knows the prices moving down quickly later - what would you be responded then ?

Yep. I truly know the meaning of ambivalent now. That are exactly my feelings about the price, perfect mix of happines due to being right and sadness due to losing money... while being right.

Thinking of which, without leverage (not in forex, just in plain exchange) I was getting positive "trades", exchanging my money against other currencies on lows and seeling them on highs... one of such trades made 15% profit (other 15% got eaten up by huge exchange spreads - banks earnes as much as I did).

Well, right now I am just curious, what will other risk assets do. Especially that they broke their rising channels. Either it will turn out to be a fake, and they return to their channels (oil going for 110$? 120$? OMG, even thinking of that makes me thinking about bringing bed to work, so I don't need to waste 20% of my income for just getting there ). I agree with Oanda now, one should not trade in such environment
