u migt also notice that divergence building up for bulls even more adn more in higher timeframes.
MacD divergences do not necessarily mean a reversal is coming. It could very easily neutralize that divergence with a few days of sideways action. Also, divergence could build to an extreme before that happens and since there is no set limit, where do you draw the line?
In these market conditions, overbought and oversold indicators work perfectly in lower time frames to calculate the swings. In higher time frames they only work accurately in normal market conditions.. We are very far from normal. We're in the middle of a global crisis.
ADD: If we were in a normal market, the Euro would be trading below $1.20 by now.
ADD2: If we were in a normal market, the SP500 would have rallied today.

Suicide is going against the trend. The trend is down. Look at the bigger TF otherwise you cannot see the forest for the trees.

But other risk assets should decouple from it a bit. Or EUR should decouple from risk assets. Probably right now market is accomodating itself to this broken correlations.And don't forget, that the channel might get extended to the downside, but it is not a must. We may range until we get closer to the channels upper border, respecting current channel borders. In addition, I was expecting sth to happen (like the ECB buying bonds) due to rising yields. I think they will keep doing everything they can to pretend everything is okay. That is why I put some longs on other assets. But I agree, that there is sth strange and I am not gonna keep them longer than needed, and am able to satisfy with even a small profit if necessary. We will see what will NY traders do when alone...

The ECB has been buying bonds since Monday and that is why they have not hit 10% yet.
But a more significant correction would be nice, I'd get more comfortable with shorting
ADD: Hmm, I think If some rumours that the Germans get softer and ECB is going to try some more bond buying (creating full blown QE?) would make everything follow my sentiment - in this case EUR down, and rest of risk assets a bit up. Who knows, who knows - changing of the treaties may take months, but just a glimmer of hope that it is to be done can change prices in minutes.

Okay, I should wrote: once-again-increased amount of bonds bought by ECB, that market will recognize a a tiny little bit cheering up. Well, it was cheering up for few pips, but not very much...
But a more significant correction would be nice, I'd get more comfortable with shorting
Patience is key and good money management helps.
In the end though, the SP500 has to be allowed to rally while the Euro drops.
As long as the debt crisis is in full force and the CBs are trying to contain the problem, it's going to be a wild ride and the Euro will drop slowly while the SP500 goes sideways with the occasional spasm.
ADD: If the markets completely lose confidence, then we will see the SP500 come down with the Euro.
