Oanda is saying "don't trade now, market is too dangerous" lol because they wanna slow bleed everyone..hey, if you fast bleed the cow it dies...bleed em slooow n steady, thats the key. They say Oanda is the biggest broker..what was it, 37,000 accounts..ever wonder why they don't just hire their top trading customers to trade for them..rather than fool with thousands of newbie's every few months..aways wondered about that..do ya think they know sumthin we don't? surely we're not that dumb..are we? lol

Gold VS EU

We can see from the D1 Timeframe shows that Gold has broke:
1) UP Trend Line (D1-Green Line)
2) Triangle Pattern (D1 -Red Line)

If it stay under the Trend Line and Retest back the TL,it's confirm we might expect a Down Trend or retracement.Otherwise,if it break the previous Resistance around 1795.00 then Bullish is still Valid.

Morning , so virtually the correction over & next leg down started & now at top also correction 2nd leg waiting confirmation end here or some up with breaks 3494, confirmation down seems 3470 bo.next better confirmation 3456 before the low .

lets see , waiting if do the short now or wait for pullback over 3500 , ( 29 ) .

Long since 5 hrs ago with a small lot size at 1.3447 looking for TP1 @ 1.349 and TP 2 @ 1.354. BE + 5 now.

With the situation at the EZ now, I'm not really keen in entering longs but shorts from the likes of 1.383 and 1.36 was sweet and neat. Hope to learn more from you guys in the coming years.

if it was that simple we'd all be millionaires. trading is never black and white. I recently read a book by Kathy lien. She said when she was first trading professionally the two traders sitting next to her would take opposite positions and both make profits.

That's only going to work if you were wrong 90 to 100% of the time. If you're wrong 50% of the time or so, then those doing the opposite of you will just have the same kind of results.

Thanks . I'm just feeling a bit frustrated today- the method I used very successfully on my demo acct does not work nearly as well on my micro accounts. I know the problem is equity, but cannot fix that so have to change how I trade somewhat to compensate. Had to take a couple bad losses in the past 24 hrs on EUR/USD but am trying to keep a positive "lesson learned" attitude.

I'll check out Kathy Lien, sounds like a book I'd like

In past 24 hrs I've been wrong at least 75% of the time, but am normally right 90% in my extremely limited experience. So a humbling experience for me.
