On US bank holidays, the markets behave like school children with a substitute teacher. When their real teacher returns, they will be slapped down. Perhaps before market close... perhaps on Monday.

A pinnochio bar is forming on the weekly chart off the bottom, that suggests the market will rise going into next week, if the market wants to paint the chart, they can sell it down in the next couple of hours so it won't print as a pinbar on the close, this is a holiday, so the pb might not be taken that seriously next week, however, I'll be on the sidelines looking to short a pop if it happens.

Seriously though, I'm not saying price won't go further up, but I personally would not rely on a weekly pin bar to tell me that.

I would more rely on the fact that we haven't got a retrace down yet, but rather look like we are building a bullish pattern like a bull flag or a pennant.

However, when I look at the M5, M15. H1 and H4, I see bearish pin bars.

Keep in mind today was a bank holiday and bond markets were closed. The real market drivers will correct this on Monday if we don't get a last minute sell-off

ADD: I still feel good about my shorts. Actually I am considering leaving them on for the weekend.

It's close to a bigger supply zone for any sudden movements above, possibly 1.383x area, unless we hear that Europe found a 1 trillion in there pockets before washing their pants. The up move is more then likely a simple currency converting, now it's done, just don't see what will move it higher, then I could be totally wrong and you can all tell me so

The previous two bars are a bearish engulfing pattern under the 40SMA. The pinnochio bar you are talking about means that the market is fragile and I think the market will try to fill + break that bar.

There is the same pinnochio bar on some other USD based pairs.

I don't believe you are wrong at all. It's elementary that the Euro is heading lower. Nothing is a straight line in this business. Price goes up and down in waves. We opened our shorts almost at the top so I am not the least bit worried.

I prefer to call it DIE EURO DIE, but your version means more the less the same

ADD: we are a bit lower again, time to decide: bullish pennant, or multitop bearish reversal...

ADD2: sometimes I get the feeling, that some formations were named to serve as other failed patterns... like, bullish flag is a failed H&S, for example.

ADD3 (chart): seems we are going lower in final hour, but still, anything can happen... Freaky Friday.
