I use an dicator that show strength of currency, if the difference is less then 2.5 I dont make deals. It happend that I missing some actions but I have 94% success with this wonderful Simphonie system.

  1. can keep track of when the original major spikes first appeared by placing a small gray dot on the chart.
  2. can also give an sound or email alert when a recent major spike (default is over the last 40 bars) disappears. This would help those that trade on the disappearance of a major spike.
  3. gives you the option to get sound or email alerts for either major and minor spikes or both.

Play around and see if it's useful to...

I guess that FXHope is using !xmeter, which is measuring the given currency strength against other currencies. It is an EA, so put it in the experts folder of your MT4.

Most people who trade this succesfuly trade the strongest currency against the weakest one, rather on higher TFs. But who knows, maybe we will find it useful for the Symphonie !

I loaded the ixMeter on to a chart, I also have a stand alone CSM app and there seems to be difference in the currency strengths between them and large difference on some of them. I don't know which one is correct but as I don't normally use it I'm not that fussed.

You can check it i'm using the same indicators but I change some parameters. if you like then welcome.
you must have the usual indicators of the system, like goldsupercycle.

There is some of indicators that do the same, I found !xmeter the better one. one new you can find here post 56, it looke promising, less visuality.

Thank you Evaluator and contributors. An edge for when to stay in. Indi FGDI and Fractal Wave Taken from http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?p=4152875

The fractal dimension = 2 - Exponent of Hurst (H)

So if the exponent of Hurst is equal to 0.5 we have a FGDI equal to 1,5.
Exponent of Hurst of 0.5 means that the movement is random without long term memory processes.
Exponent of Hurst > 0.5 - persistent
Exponent of Hurst < 0.5 - antipersistent

Helps me take the signals, stay in or exit early. 15 and 30 min FGDI on 5 min chart

Handdrawn zones are more precise yet I'm using the attached indy for quick orientation - bounces are good for entries, opposite zones for (partial) targets and stops can be placed below/above a zone. They don't repaint but vanish if they get broken. Use higher TF zones, the 5' or 15' ones are just noise. Set forced.tf to 60 to plot hourly zones, 240 for 4hr and 1440 for daily, I'm using 60 on m5 and m15.

Closed 1/2 for +23 and moved stop to BE.

I'm Long in EURUSD.

I'm using my EA BuyFibo in order to move SL to BE and partially close the order, then go to Profit1 to close another percent of the order and move the SL to BE level, then go to Profit2 and will activate the Trailing Stop. EA SellFibo is similar.

just change colours as you like
edit: if you only want colored zones: solid.zones=true
closed the rest of trade, can't babysit, leaving for weekend.. gl!
