usdx is at an indecision point, we should know by end of china start of london, which way to go short term. Whichever it is OB/OS I'll take a CT.

Nice move. If you look at the 15-minute bars on the Dow, you'll see that it broke a trendline and then reversed to re-test and give it the kiss goodbye.

I made long from 1,5982 with TP 1,640 after short rally today now for me it will trief to reach this resistance. Any suggest?

i am still 10th in the competition which is kinda sucks but i had 2 workshops all day long at work and couldn't trade anything last 2 days... and i could see the leaders flying already although i know that some of them will get a margin call later next week but it will be tough to catch up if i stay busy

A break of 36099 will lead to 36948. 36099 is being a hard nut to crack though.

I'm very junior here(this is my first post), so I'll be glad if someone remind me for my mistakes. And I'm sorry if there will be words or sentences that can't be understood easily since I am an Indonesian with minimum experience in English conversation and still try to learn more :nerd:

So let's get back to the topic...
Looks like my downtrend "security line" has breached but with hesitation. Strange... usually my Triangle method works, once it breakout the Triangle it usually will increase the "speed" following the breakout direction. But not now...
Can anyone explain, are my lines in the right place or not?

Well you have to remember that patterns in the market do not ALWAYS signal a particular type of move. In some cases, triangles do not result in major breakouts of any sort. The best advice I can give you is extend your triangles to the levels they should be at according to the new data from the market and wait for another possible breakout signal.

Well if the consolidation continues like it has on his chart, all he has to do (mathematically speaking) is reduce the absolute value of the slopes of those lines until they contain the new range. It's not a matter of backing it up with charts, it's just looking at his and knowing instinctively how to draw the new triangles. It's really as simple as below in this case, the top trend line's absolute value was unchanged, while the bottom one was reduced.

As a test, go and find a triangle formation, and then draw possible previous triangles. The obvious question to ask yourself is why did it not break out of the previous triangles convincingly? The answer is, a triangle doesn't GUARANTEE a breakout, but it indicates one is likely at some point in the future. How extreme the consolidation becomes before this happens is a function of market action, news, volume, volatility etc.

As you can see, on this chart alone there are quite a few possible triangles, but in general, they are all part of the same "triangle system" for lack of a better description. One thing to take note of in this situation however, is that the bottom lines of these triangles are all falling in terms of slope value.

im having a limit sell position @ 1.3650 stops 10 pips target 1.35

if 1.365 wouldnt work, ill go as far as 1.3675 with 10 pips stops. target 1.35
