no that's right. 1 pip on the EUR/USD is 0.0001
The 0.00001 is a pipette

All you need to make 1000 in a month is 50 per day
or 10 trades of 100 each in a month
or 4 trades of 250 each in a month
Of course it doesn't work that way because one month you will only make 100 pips but the next month you can make 2500pips
It all depends what the market gives you and how many positions you place at the same time.
Lot size is a different story

I don't trade small time frame either but I use it for better entry or exit.
All my analysis is on H4 and above and sometimes H1

The key word being successful

I will consider myself successful when I'm consistent which I'm not yet.

Actually I am not profitable but I should. With more than one year hard work I learned a lot, I developed my own strategy, I am developing my indicators (speech, visible) and a software which helps to make the orders at the best price. I am just very very very unlucky. I often choose the worst trades one after the other. I actually do very good trades but I do not keep them until a real profit comes in or these stop out at zero and the market continues without me. So I can win 30/29 trades easily but when I loose that is much more so the result is negative...

Just based on what you typed here, my initial reaction is that either your system still needs improvement, or your emotions are making you stray from your system for a few extra pips on hope that it will go further or perhaps it goes against you and you hope it is only a retrace.

Hope does not make a trading system.

Placed my long at 2 pips below yesterday low on AUDUSD. SL at yesterday low of 1.01170, presently +25 pips
I will not place a long on EURUSD reasons already given.

Will wait for short opportunity on EURUSD.
