If you take the BO in the direction of the blue line you will still make profit in trend times but the trade profits will be much smaller. You will get to the first or second S/R line and that will be it. Having some knowledge of fundamentals will help here but ranging happens 70% of the time so these are the kind of trades you will see most of the time. Put your pending order 5-10 pips above and below the lines. If price does not break the lines you are not in. See pic below.

First, I want to say thank you Bob for your wonderful systems. Your insight and willingness to help are a real treat in these forums. I have a newbie question...I recently put a sell stop pending order about 10 pips below a recent support for audnzd and as soon as I put this order in it of course hit my order and moved down 250 pips and retraced back up 250 pips! I went to a demo from a different crim and it didn't show the retracement, so is this why we call them crims? And what could I have done to not let this happen. Thank you.

Please forgive the novice nature of my question. I have read through the thread and studied the manuals you developed. Thanks for putting in the tremendous effort to develop the materials and share your insights.

Attached is a screenshot of the EURUSD from this evening. This is a 1H timeframe. The PA on the daily chart is clearly well below the 2 MA's. My question for this chart is whether or not there is a trade opportunity. PA is below the MA's and bumping against a 4H SR line. However, the MACD and STO indi's are firmly in the oversold region. How would you trade this situation ?

Thanks for any advice ?

PS: I understand that with the indi's in the current position I should be looking for a change of direction in the PA. However, with the strong downtrend today, I would be reluctant to go long here.

Been a member for a long time but dont do much posting, just reading and trying to learn as much as i can before retirement. I like many have spent alot of time and money with various systems and methods. Spent a few hours reading the this thread and have downloaded the 10.1 materials. Correct me if wrong but i have placed a pending sell oder at 13490 which is 9 pips below the last s-1 at 13499. (e/u)

Thanks for your question and it is a good one. The two red lines close together would show a strong support area. You could put a sell pending below there. If price continues (it is possible because the fundamentals are very strong right now) you would be in. If price retraces obviously you would not. My best guess would be price will retrace some and go back above some lines where you will probably find a better entrance. Now that Greece is messed up it looks like Italy will take center stage for a while. I am hoping the beauty of this system is price will stop at a s/r line and with our pending on the other side we wont be in when price retreats. we then look for our best reenter spot. So that is what I would look for. Several trades yesterday entered more than once because several lines were broken in the run. I have to go to school will write more later.

The indicator will also show 4H lines on lower TF chart. Except in a couple of cases where the 1D lines were far apart I have not been using the 4H lines. SO in the above example I would put my pending below the 1D S lines instead of the two 4H lines close together. My experience with 4H lines in the past is they will be just broken and price reverse causing far more SL than the 1D lines do. I think the 4H lines will become much more important at range times but are much less important during trend times. That is what I am expecting to learn from using this. BUT I have been wrong before, just my thoughts for now.

Yes I put two pending orders one below each line in case of a big move I will catch both. Yesterday I had two such trades happen like that. I will also put a sell if it retraces back above the first red line. That will be reentering the trend so I will see if price retraces that high or not. The eur/gbp has run beyond any recent s lines. You can go into the code and add days to the program if you need to search further back in time. That would probably mean a major BO for the eur/gbp. You have to go back to Jan or Feb 2011 to find daily S/R lines. Any suggestions?

aud cad sell trade set up 103.40 just below those previous lows. Blue line just above the red R line is a good SL point.

usd jpy buy. Just above the 78 mark. I could see a rush to the dollar again possible along with jpy desire to depreciate should make this a good trade when it happens.

Did you forgot about post #60. I read Post #525 already as well as Post #1. There's no talk of of using a stoploss until mid October. That's not my definition of always.

Now enough of that crap already and quit playing the hard done by pity poor me. I don't care about your indicator or when or how or what for or if you still trading moving average crosses. You're skirting around the subject of STOPLOSS AND HOW TO USE IT.

As long as you're using a stoploss now that's a good thing but now learn the rest of it. It's a start, a beginning now see it through.

You are missing the point of my post which IS setting a SL is just the beginning of the process. You don't set it and leave it. If you're going to teach then teach the whole story. Post #525 just doesn't get it done.

Don't take my word for it. Google it, search the internet, buy a book but at the very least try to do it right. You've listened to my ideas in the past now listen one more time. Put it to the viewers and discuss it but don't expect them to know anything as most are looking to you for guidance. Then again their knowledge may surprise you. A team approach has it's advantages.

Understand that this is big part of any great system and should get more words then post #525. If you don't know how it's not important so throw your ego out the window. We aren't born with this knowledge so don't take it personally. Everything I know is because of someone teaching me either on a thread, one on one or from a book.

I'm not picking on you and your response was not a surprise hence the tone of my post. Now do your viewers justice and teach them as I know you can. They will love you for it and all will benefit.

I'm not here to debate or call you arrogant or ignorant as you did me. I will forgive and forget and I hope you do the same.

Yes but the SL thing is in context of counter trading and range trading. It is not part of trend trading. Totally different trading style. I dont multi level trade in trend trading so the concepts are different, the styles are different. Anyway I am done with the Beagle thing. I will not associate you with them unless you want to be.

As far as SL goes I use a MPTM which atutomatically moves the SL point up when a certain pips in profit. I have not decided how I will use it with this yet. Need some experience trading it. I am also thinking of using a MA SL. All the EA will do is close the trade if price ever crosses the MA. A different form of TS. It can be used on any TF thereby it can follow closely on a 15M TF or far away on a daily or weekly TF. I need to test it before I post it though. So those areas are very much up for discussion but for now a simple SL system is taught.

Hi Bob,
I have been following and reading the thread trying to understand your system and so far been making progress. I came across FX since 2002. I started demo-trading in earnest from 2006 and had never had the courage to go live because most of the systems I tried would make money and I lose it again. In short I never see myself making profit at the end of the month. But with your system I have improved greatly. I now have the courage to go live. which I plan to do early next year. I am saying a Big Thank you from my Heart.

I am sorry I have made a mistake. I did have the 2MA as smoothed and that is what I wanted. SO I am sorry I didnt report it correct in the previous post. I will remove that post to correct the problem and try to change the other one. Sorry about that mistake. So the difference between 10.0 and 10.1 is the 2MA is shifted 1 instead of two. They both remain smooth. The 8 MA stays the same. I did this to bring the SL line closer and to begin the range period in sooner. Since I am not using MA cross EAs (at least not yet) the S/R reads are less affected by S/R reads. So the template is correct and my statement was wrong. I have changed it in the original post.
