Took the below trade few days ago. Closed half of the position and moved the rest to BE as the price is hovering around fib and BRN.

I am using IBFX as you, so our bars should look pretty close, but I notice mine are just a bit different than yours, on this AM's EU M5.
I have tried using both the HA, and the Synergy APB indicators and set my main chart properties with different up and down colors to try and match what you are showing. Maybe you can help me out with that. Attaching my properties and indicators.

Hi grandaevus...

is it possible to make that dotted angle line change color or that small notes on top left hand corner change color too when we are in trade or no trade zone.??
hehee..just to make the chart more interesting

Hi Snarlyjack,
I have always been contemplating on my SL for this system. I do not want an SL too big and lose out on the risk reward ratio, neither would I want it to be too tight for it.

I tried your idea and I must say, it is a very good way to determine SL and it is within a range I am comfortable with. However, I have a question on it.

During low volatility periods, the channel can be very narrow, how would you determine the SL then?

avoided the short entry on 15min and 1 h chart on eur/usd due to green TDI at below 32 earlier and now its still trending down!!!

OMG, wondering if i should enter on the 4h chart.

I may be wrong but I noticed most of the times when trader fiddle with SL while trade is developing, the price will retrace, hit the new SL and will continue moving into your direction, therefore, I don't move to BE unless the trade moves into my favor atleast equal to my SL or hit my original SL.

Just my opinion worth 2 cents.
I believe now it is the time to take partial profit and move the rest on BE as price is heading towards the FTA.

Here are some other trades which took a while to develop though a slow start this week. Many times it pays to sit on the hands.

Hey guys, finally had a good trade this week. Got in on usd/cad on a 1h TDI cross last night, turned into a 4h cross around 12am, woke up to +100 pips . Can anyone post a 1h aud/usd chart, it looked like TDI could cross at 9am or 10am. I finally set up a laptop to take to work to look at charts but it is too early to run to the startbucks and check...i just got here haha

This morning, I entered my trade at the beginning of the Frankfurt session when the TDI bounced and separated from the red line (following the close of the 1st red candle).
I normally trade the London on the H1 time frame and sometimes trade the NY on the M15 if the volume is down. No, I do not look at the M15 chart to determine entries on the H1....too much whipsaw which just confuses the issue.
When the PA was slow this morning I did look at the M15 one time, at London open. If I had acted on what I saw on that TF, I would have exited my trade. Instead I went back to the H1 and when PA started moving down quickly, I moved my TP from 50 to 100 pips. When it got close to 100, I tried to move the TP to 200 but PA hit the 100 TP before I could get it done. I did not want to re-enter without a new signal, so I stayed out and went back to bed......could have had 200+.....but hindsight is 20-20. I am very happy with 100 pips for the day.

I haven't seen anything on the H1 during the NY session; you London followers had many pairs to cash in on. Hope you did but I'm too late to the party. Got a good 9 hours sleep though! p.

Gyfu,

I always trade with the price channel.

5 smoothed, lo
5 smoothed, hi

I set my stops at the top or bottom of the
price channel. The price channel will expand or
contract depending on volitility in the markets.
Just go with it and try to keep things simple.

When price is in the price channel that means the market
really doesn't know which way it's going to go. Sooner or
later it will break the price channel to the upside or downside.

Anyone have the synergy candle indicator - which display "open and close" as a notch off the sides? Or know where I can get it?
