the experimental variant should always look the same on all MT4s even with different brokers and number of bars in chart is totally irrelevant. but it has to be tested if it's suitable for trading the method. many thx RJ and jurn e for testing but finally Eval should evaluate it and approve or reject it.
that's all i can tell right now, running away again. just from what i'm seeing the PA is still painfully slow - 68 pips range that's ridiculous.

it shows the same with any br0ker, bar count doesn't matter
BUT it's not equivalent to the original (which i honestly think is utter cr@p), core logic of this one consists of 8 (!) lines of code, i'm not the author (see this post/thread for details).
this is fastfood for the meantime, i'll possibly come up with something better...
Is there someway to force a logic loop into the Extreme Spike indikator whereby it does not repaint but instread just paints a complete cycle spike at the highest or lowest point of the of the last spike? i.e. red then instead of repaint the red as price drops...it looks at data since last red and just paint a blue spike at highest point rather than repaint the red spike? I am thinking this is possible but I do not know how it will effect the reliability of the indikator but at least it would no longer just repaint.

please evaluate.. i don't have enough time for this. if it's useless we won't use it. try to find optimal dist1(extreme)/dist2(normal) parameters, higher numbers - less spikes.[/quote]
Hi MaryJane,
For what I see, this is a big step forward, thanks for that. Here are some charts and maybe some thougths for trading. I trade the 1 min (which I know is not promoted here) and only the early EU session, starting an hour before the bund market opens and ending when the first European traders start to think of their lunch. Today I only took the last trade on the chart as I was indecisive at the start with the Italian vote to come, the Greek play and all other things to happen. I just couldn't resist the last one after sitting on my hands for three hours.
As you can see, with a little systematic approach there are good pips on this road. One loss and four winners, wish it was like this every day! Good MM will keep you save in bad runs I guess.

I believe you guys are worrying too much about the extreme indicator and the spikes.
In my opinion this is the least important indicator of this system. Not saying it's completely useless though, don't get me wrong.
I was taught to always look for confluence (S&R, fibs, MAs, trendlines, etc)...that's what make high probabilities entries. Don't fall victim of thinking the system alone it's gonna make you profitable. It won't. If 100% mechanical worked, solely relying on indicators, EA's would work as well, think about it.
If you were observing the PA around the pivot point today you could have entered a long high very high probability before the system fired the buy signal.
As long as we are above the PP my bias is to buy, below it is to sell. This is a very effective way of filtering signals that could make you lose money. But yes, I could counter-trade, IF the signal aligns with a strong area of S&R. Confluence, in other words.
just look how important S&R are in this game...long from the pivot point...hit .3800 which is a PSYCH level...retrace...note I said retrace, not reverse, we are still above the PP, bias still bullish...broke .3800 and found support on it...then broke through .3820 and headed towards R1 at .3842 exactly. You don't need extreme spike to tell you where to exit the trade, you need experience. The trendline indicator, keep in mind, would have kept you on the trade untill R1
meanwhile, I witnessed the extreme indicator repaint about a dozen times. If I strictly relied on indicators, I would have closed the trade around .3800 most likely.
instead I put SL at breakeven when it got to .3800 and reloaded on .3780 using stochastics, which is an excellent tool to help you on re-entries.
today is dangerous to trade, remember, if you are in doubt, no feeling sure, or confident about making a trade, don't do it! Not trading is also trading.
