Right now it's plus 80,90 pips--- the EA couldn't jump in JPY crosses as well because the candles didn't close above the 13SMA and below 50% zone.... anyways, this can hold until the US open, and then we can see a sell-off if berlusconi ends resigning at the London close?

I believe that in this case will be much easily to determine Treshould Zones.

Looking at the D1 only, I would say GBPCHF long would be a good candidate, in 1H or 4H TF. I am in a hurry and will give my reasons later. Mind you as you know this indicator is not suitable for trade calls just on its own.

Yes I would agree but if you used the Thresholds it would not pass and then on the D1 it does not pass, they are opposite the H4.

As requested in the forum earlier on, some traders wanted the Hanover Module added to the EA for confirmation. I am just trying to figure out if it would be a good add or not, or is there a better strength indicator that would work better with TMS as confirmation for a trade signal given by TMS. It seems every one I have looked at gives different numbers for strength and weakness for the same currencies. I am just trying to get a handle on which way to go and if it would be of any help. I have added to the Hanover Module a Minimum GAP size also to see if that would work rather than just the Strong and Wek Thresholds that are already part of it. That way you could look for the GAP to be increasing and at least be at a minimum size, of course you can also just go with just being crossed and the GAP increasing.

All the input from everyone is appreciated, no point in adding something if its not going to help the end results.

The gap with thresholds together makes a lot of sense if using Hanover. We will then be able to ignore currencies that are not doing much at present (in the central area), but also make sure that currencies we do consider for trading have sufficient "tension" to make a decent move likely.

After all, if one is at 38 and the other at 62, they are outside that central zone, but the difference between them of just 24 is probably not enough "tension" (which I suppose could be though of as being like "potential energy") to make a move very significant. On the other hand if one is at 23 and the other at 89, then the difference is 66, which represents much grearter "tension" present to pull them back to central equilibrium.

Very true. However, the only way to be certain if it would help the trading of the EA is by having two group of demos, one with and one without. Therefore, since you have devoted your valuable time to incorporate it into your EA I would suggest your release it and have it as a user selectable option in the same way you have done with other indicators such as CCi, ADX ,etc.

The creator of this indicator uses it in the higher TFs in long term trading in conjunction with S&R lines. I mainly trade Nanningbob system which is a counter trend / range trading system without a fixed SL. So for me the recent strength is a very valuable tool, in particular when I am in a losing trade and have to decide what to do next. There are couple of traders who trade this indicator based on the values over multiple TFs (e.g. if USD is stronger in M5, M30, H1, H4 than AUD go short AUDUSD). I am not convinced this is the right approach and the traders who were advocating this method have been silent lately, which tells me that it is not working for them. As you know we retail forex traders get exited when a particular system / method is working for us and want everyone to know that we have finally carcked it but as soon as there are set backs we keep quiet.

I applaud your hard work. Some people have commented that this EA has become so complex that it is now no where near the TMS concept. I must confess I have been guilty of making a remark to that effect few pages ago. But on reflection this is not a fair comment. Since the originator of TMS trade uses a lot of discretion through years of studying and trading. To automate that would be impossible so people look for variety of indicators to substitute it. If you ever decide to incorporate the Hanover module into this EA, I would trade the 4H chart with recent strength D1 chart.

i just copy/pasted the settings from his Template he posted and created his Set File

i am E.S.T (-5) but i mostly trade London open/close and for AUD with the 1st 3-4 hrs with Tokyo open

And concerning Hanover i would add it, since it's a very good tool and will make a very good addition to your EA #2061 either with Range, Tension, Gaps in the strengh of currencies we can select to enable or disable it and/or select a desired Timeframe, i would check the strengh or crosses of H1/H4/D1 so IMO it will be Golden

If you read the manual, you probably noticed that if zone multiplier = 0, it is the same as 50%.. I think I had a problem when I wrote 50 there.. I don't mind.

It means it only buys below the middleband, and only sells above the middleband.

holy Break even settings

market was crazy today... we were at one point at +150 pips, but one position got closed at BE becase the pair heavily dropped, and the other got closed at +16 pips.. so +6 pips for the day wiii, lol

Hi astral77 - I couldn't agree more with your comments above, something less is more.

I'm currently demo'ing this system with settings that closely match the orginal system creators vision on 4H charts. I've done some back testing, mainly eyeing and using the trade simulators and found the 4h to be more consistent than the 1h and 15m, especially if you only take trades that form on or near the outer TMA bands. I appreciate the TMA is not part of the original method but it does seem to filter out a lot of lossing trades.

Its possible that the Hanover module can help with filtering out lossing trades, or it maybe a square peg in a round hole...time will tell.

Thats just my two pences worth..

When i get my 4h setting nailed i'll post the set file and results. At the moment i'm trading the system manually to start with so that i fully understand the nuances first.

Hope nobody was playing with my settings today, because we had so many news out...

Berlusconi's budget vote, for example... which passed but he didn't get a majority vote.

So people want him out, (he can resign) which could be bullish if someone better is going to replace him, but if there isn't.. then the Euro is in bigger trouble..

Who would like to be the Prime Minister of a big country that's in the edge of bankrupcy?
