No, I took what you said at face value. Trust me, 'pro' traders dont care about 50 to 100 pip choppy action. They look for long term trends.

I know several successful retail investors with 6 figure trading capital. They do not trade every day and only look for the most optimal trades. Even if it is only 1 or 2 trades a month or every 2 months. They find a trend and bank a lot of money. They arent sitting at their computer waiting for price spikes.

i agree im just saying days like today can be very bankable days... took aussie long at 1.0210 for 165 pips and closed it pre news this am and then faded the spike after the release this am...

all im saying is these days are by no means random and can be very profitable

I hate to point out the obvious but those same retail investors dont lurk around in forums either. This is a public forum and most are day traders with a few exceptions.

By the way, if I had friends like that, I wouldnt be in a forum either during "spiky" hours. I wonder what you are doing here on a horrible day like today? Dont you have to go golfing with your 6 figure buddies?

You think that 3 trillion is speculation? Do you realize the majority of currency transactions are between banks to facilitate business? They dont care what the price is...a business transaction necessitates a currency exchange.

And yes, the individuals I know look for an optimal trade setup and will bank upwards of 150k. Find 20 or 25 of those a year with maybe 5 or 6 not working out and that is how you really make money. Their lives are not spent glued to the screen but off enjoying life.

You dont even understand the currency market you claim to trade in.

That guy really is "fawlty" lol... he is implying that he and his "pro" trader buddies make 1000s of pips with 1 or 2 traders a month, and yet he chooses to spend time in front of the computer on a "juvenile" day like today. And he forgets that most traders here do not have 6 figure capital to trade, hence day trading.

I said I know a few ...I didnt say I am great friends with them. I do not have that sort of capital to do what they do. I work at a great job I enjoy doing and I do trade as well.

I do not matter, every day make a profit with different brokers. economic collapse or rise to matter what, the most important get profit.
