Reading comments over the weekend about the shit deal in the Euro ............. Lol, I have this feeling we might go straight down, and not simply the expected retrace. 1.3650 anyone????

I hate to tell you... 1.365 is just slightly over the 50% retrace level of 1.370. For it to go straight down you are looking at 1.3150...

I was thinking retrace level 1.3970 or so. But who knows you're right, 1.37 then consolidation for a while and then we'll see.

I still have a few underwater shorts from the run up almost 3 weeks ago Oct. 10 I believe. Not so smart I know but back then I just had surgery and was trading in the hospital while I was seeing everything upside down from the percs and the morfine. When I was thinking again I decided to just let them go and not take the loss. In time I'll have them in profit again and it's only a few mini lots.
The way I see it now is that they will be in profit again way before the end of the year. If not I'll kill them a bit at the time.

The fly in the ointment is that this is all about the USD, not the Euro.

Next week we have a few potential game changes. One is BB. If there is no further QE... then the USD should spike. If ECB drops rates, Euro should crash. And then there is the "hope" that is expected from the G20 meeting. If it doesn't materialize or if one of the finance ministers runs off at the mouth...

realistically, how high can euro really go? 1.50? 1.60? im thinking of calculating my lot size for my available balance to withstand a runup to some like 1.75 and adding to my positions for the short side. i just saw george soros say that the euro plans has a life expantancy of just 3 months. i live in greece and see what is really happening on the news. italy and spain are getting ready for the same boat. fundamentally i just dont see the euro being able to cope with all the southern countries. what do you guys think about this strategy? i am a long tern trader.

Why take all that risk?

Do your analysis, just draw a line on your chart, set sell stop orders below and catch the ride down, and keep moving the line up as the analysis changes?

everybody knew the reversal attempt very strong going on with eu summit news etc , many key levels broken in strong hand suddenly , even we try at key levels some sorts of correction knowingly that may be very limited for such a strong move with a goal compiled with question of survival.
