Happy weekend to all. Normally I hate weekends because there is no trading but this time I welcome it. I've been too busy with this stuff but fortunately it paid of well. Even that shit pair UJ.
I started the week ugly with a 2% loss on EU due to wrong timing but came back...
Happy Weekend Buddy!...

This bullshit pair wasted the whole day of mine today.... and at the end what's my position.. Yesterday's 25 Pips Gain now reduced to 5 Pips only..

I will pray during weekened for BOJ to intervene. I have total of 3 lots open long position in U/J at 75.70 level and even a 100 pips spike can earn me good around 4K...

Let's hope for the best....

i read somewhere early this week that some big players are buying jpy put option at 75.50. this might be the power driving the jpy rise this week. if this is true then there could be spikes when it touch 75.50.

my 2 cents. pls correct me if i'm wrong.

i also have 5 lots this pair at 75.77， stoploss at 75.41and sell stop at 75.36 tp at 75.01

Based on the current level I still dont think BOJ will intervene,Next Month 73.50 must be test to end this downtrend

BOJ is not going to interven in the market,,, ....

USD Strenght doesnt help UJ pair at all - The Only Solution Is Japan need take Strong Action
As we can see in the USDX Monthly Chart - last Month we have break the longterm downtrend and USD showing strenght against all currencies with one exception and Its JPY - Doesnt help it at all

but what i dont get is since everyone seems like they are going long, shouldnt the demand of it create a bullish trend? how is it everyone seems to be going to long yet it still has a downward trend?

Hi! I've been following this thread for a little bit,

Correct me anyone if i'm mistaked, but from my understanding, retail traders (us, of who the majority are going long) make-up only a small portion of all the exchanges taking place.

Now what I'm curious about is what that portion is, and how much of the market is moved by institutions, actual commercial groups/companies, banks (although technically everything is done through banks...), etc.

Not a complete answer to your question but it gives you an idea.

Speculative investors more than doubled their bets that the yen will appreciate against the dollar, effectively daring the Japanese government to make good on its threats to sell the yen and weaken the currency.

Traders bet a net $8.9 billion that the yen will rise, or 54,279 contracts, as of Oct. 25. That was a 104% increase from the prior week, according to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's weekly report on the commitments of traders, released Friday.

The market's yen positioning indicates traders don't think the government's strident attacks on the yen's strength will have much impact on the exchange rate. The Japanese government has threatened to intervene in currency markets again to drive down the yen, although its prior attempts this year have not been successful in containing the currency's rise.

"People were speculating on Bank of Japan intervention after the move below 76 [yen to the dollar], the all-time high," said analyst Daniel Brehon of Deutsche Bank in New York.

In part because speculators were piling into optimistic bets on the yen, the market's wagers that the dollar will rise decreased by 42% this week, standing at a net $8.2 billion.

Wagers that the euro will weaken were essentially unchanged, at $13.3 billion, or 76,512 contracts. On Tuesday, traders were waiting for the results of a euro-zone meeting that laid out plans to rescue the currency union's troubled economies from the sovereign debt crisis enveloping the region. That accord calmed investors' nerves somewhat later in the week.

"Long term, there's a lot of skepticism out there about whether this package will be enough," Brehon said. "Anecdotally, a lot of people are a little skeptical about this move up in euro.

as we can see The Japan Authorities seems comfortable with the current level so far

So what's the level you expect for U/J this week...

Do you think U/J will rebound from the current level once the market opens today, as wee can see that U/J genearlly use to recover overnight but due to early market close on friday it only partially recovered from the lower level...
