Y'all have a great weekend. I'm going back to work on my office remodeling and winterize a few things before the cold front comes in this weekend.

Most people will sit on the sidelines, waiting until after next week's Fed and ECB meetings and also the end-of-week key US payroll report, he says. The euro is likely to hover in the $1.40-$1.42 range as it marks time, he says. "The following week, they will likely be short on the euro because they are skeptical about Europe having resolved all the issues." Wonder what sort of magic and spellcasting will Merkozy shamans do over the weekend.

So fair their black magic works. With a little help of Fed spellcasting. The most powerfull magic formulas from fed require few key words, however:
- "recession", "sluggish growth", or "unsatsfactory"
- "easing","helping", "buying"
- "should", "support the idea of" and so on.

Never underestimate this powerfull spells.

I look forward to see what happens next week. It will be interesting.

I have been assuming that the Fed has been lending usd to ECB throught the program it announced in mid-September, that began Oct. I'm sure that has been going on, and that amount could be huge, but you can't track it. There is also the possibility of loans out the Discount Window throught the ususal Fed intermediaries, and that is not made public, either, but also could be huge.

Several blogs reported last day or so of foreign banks selling off their US Treasurys.

Short squeeze, CB interventions, it has been a tough flood to fade. There will have to be some hawkish news out of the Fed next week, and also some bad news about the EZ debt crisis fix, to keep e/u from continuing to advance into the 1.4's.

Today was, to me, an extremely bullish signal. All we could manage after a 350 pip rise was a little bit of consolidation.

However, the Euro/USD has now moved 1100 pips in about 3 weeks. Even a modest correction would be over 400 pips.

then again this uptrend might be the correction in downtrend
