I only see a buy signal on your chart.....Which would have netted you some nice pipage. I think you are using the sytem incorrectly.

I have a question about your special exception exit. if i'm entering a valid short signal and minutes later an extreme long cycle appears. do i have to close this trade also if it is in negativ floating $?

does the exception exit has the most priority? if yes, then the aggressive exit mode is reduntant, because an extreme cycle ever comes before trendline change. and moderate exit mode will often close full order before i could close partial. this happens in not volatile times.

did you checked the x3 semafor instead the extreme cycle? because semafore has no issues and same signals.

The reason I moved into 15 min is because I have been testing Symphonie in different timeframes. 5 min is fine if it suits your trading style but lately the 5 min window has had much whipsaws and I have found that for me the 15 min seems to overcome the whipsaws.

If you enter a trade and the trade moves against you it is possible that price action has trended and you will look to the counter trade. That means if you have an extreme then then it repaints as it repaints you should have a new signal pointing in the opposite direction of your first bad trade. You should treat this as a new signal and enter a trade at that point.

I think you will find that it will run at that point.

yes i trade both 5 min and 15 min. currently I am trade 15 min because all the whipsaw action is disturbing. 15 min seems to be above the whipsaws.

That's possible, so here is how I identify a trade:

1. I wait for the extreme cycle to show a top(red) or bottom(blue)

2. I wait for all other indicators to turn blue and go long at this point or turn red and go short at that point.

Is that right?

Maybe you or Evaluator or anyone else could comment on my understanding of the rules.

if you have a situation like that then you treat as a counter trade and treat the repaint of the extreme spike as a new signal to make an order in the opposite direction because price action has determined it wants to go in that direction. you must be ready to move with the market as the market moves.

the market does what the market does and no one can change that. you must be able to move with the market not let your own bias be your guide. so, the next time you have a bad trade immediately look at the signal and take the signal as it is presented. it may feel uncomfortable but that is because you are letting your own opinion be your guide and not the system.

This is what I see on your chart.... The spike must contain color. All other spikes should be ignored.

but this is the history. during the day were enough red extreme spikes with two valid entries stopped out. but the spikes dissapear while the price made a newer high

The exit strategy and exception rules are meant as guidelines to provide you with structure in the overall strategy. if you have an extreme spike you have really two choices. exit the order or let the stoploss be hit. so the choice at the point of your question is up to you.

Ok, but you should have taken the long before the short in this example.....When you had seen the red spike, this could have either had been a good point to close the position or move the S/L to BE. Also, the system is not going to be 100%, hell probably not even 80%, but if you trade it according to the rules of the system, it will be profitable. Also, I use technical analysis in conjuntion with the system and it's been pretty solid for me.

yes, i should if i not sleept at night. hihi.

But if i use the moderate exit method i would have the two loosers too. so what i think is to respect the higher TF Trend.

i don't say that it is 100%. and not every signal is a winner. But if i see Evals results they are fantastic. and what i read is, that he do not use technical discretionaire decisions. and if he took most every signal an EA have to nearly made the same results, but it don't.

Do it is possibile to add a option to alert for extreme cycle to show only top(red) or bottom(blue) and not all top or bottom?

Throughout this thread there have been frustration, anger, confusion, and hostility to the issue of the extreme spike repaints. Over the past 2 weeks there have been an unusually larger number of Extreme Spike repainting occurrances due to the EuroZone banking crisis and current market turbulence that has cause much realignments in the marketplace.

I understand that repaints are difficult and causes ones level of frustration to rise. This could be caused because one has become too focused on one indikator in the Symphonie System and not the 4 indikator signal alignment that has been outlined in post#1 and talked about at length in this thread.

However, there is GOOD NEWS. Each repaint of an Extreme Spike should be viewed as a new opportunity and not a point of frustration.

The Symphonie System is based on the alignment of 4 indikators. At the point where the 4 indikators align is your signal to place an order in the direction of the signal. A repaint should be considered as that re-alignment and should be views as an opportunity or Entry Signal for an order.

For example, today the price action recorded an extreme spike at 1.40200. This would be viewed as a possible topping point and one should look to the other 3 indikators for alginment and a new SELL signal to emerge. However, this did not happen. Instead the price action reversed and the Exterme Indikator repainted and removed the Extreme Spike. This repaint then created a new BUY signal as the repaint made the 4 indikators in agreement and one should view this as a BUY opportunity.

As you can see with proper chart interpretation one should have entered at BUY at 1.40314 and reap the entire uptrend of the market price action.

This is exactly why you should not focus soley on one indikator or else your will become a 1 indikator prisoner and prone to loosing trades.

Again, Symphonie Trader System is an alignment of 4 indikators..not 1 2 or 3 but 4. Only and always take the trades in the direktion of the 4 indikator alignment. You account balance will thank you for it.

I have decided to do something radical.

I am removing the thread account and I will restart a new thread account again with only 3k beginning Monday, 31 Oktober 2011.

I will ONLY trade the EURUSD and ONLY in 15 min using ARS and ONLY the Rules of this System. This will be strictly mechanical and I will not pay any attention to any influences of NEW or Market Events. I will use only Symphonie Trader System signals as my guide. I will only trade Eurotimes from Frankfurt market open until US Market lunchtime.

I will post Account Stat report at the end of the week. I will not be making any live post only the end of week stats.

Let us see where it takes us by Christmas......

Hello Evaluator,

i'm following your thread since beginning and your contribution to this community here is great.

I'd like to clarify some things with my best non-native english i could do.
The problem don't lie in the repainting issue with the extreme cycle indie. I think the frustration comes, because of chartrefreshing, MT4 restarting and that some have another cycles than other. This lies in bad programming with this indicator. And, yes i know, that this system is in symphonie with 4 indicators, but the extreme cycle indicator gives us the first signal we focus on to look if the other 3 indicators will align. That was the only reason why i analysed it.
I'm not too focused at only this indicator, but this analysis gives me an edge with this system.

And Kasapreko showed a 5m TF. There were really two short opportunities with valid signals, which were stopped out. But this could happen. If he were able to trade the Long signal before he could gain many pip. (Me too) hehe

But do i understand you right, that if a sell spike repaints that we could throw a new BUY order? Because the sell spike did not disappear it only moves to the next high and this means that the 4 indicators will not align. But yes, it gives a new SELL opportunity because if there is a sell cyle there would be never a BUY cycle until it is a real SELL turningpoint.
