C'mon - numbers were better than expected, which should strengthen USD Ok... market move, but is it so?

Better than expected US numbers are usually good for risk, bad for dollar...... sell dollar, sell US bonds, buy everything else with higher yields.

Nice US data--- if market reverses at 9.30 EST (US open), which is the usual... I'll be a buyer at the london close

Im short. lowest risk possible atm. exited all gold longs.
this looks possible to hit 3950s.
gold off and selling at resistance.

2.5% GDP is not a great number. Good, but not great. We needed 2.7% to make this work. Also last weeks unemployment claims were revised higher from 403K to 404K and this weeks disappointed at 402K vs 400k expected. Not bad, but not good either.

The USD might not make a come back today. Perhaps existing home sales will be better.

The equity markets need to do some catching up so that is dragging down the USD as well.

Today is not a Euro bear day so far. That's for sure.

Yup, you are right. I'm expecting only little return since I dropped my shorts and I don't want to be bare naked in this situation.

i really dont know where even an ear is on my 'batman'.

PT might be right, and its higher than forecasted, and different pairs act differently. gold sold off 1000+ points, and euro will act differently. cycle will lag about 2-3 bars as i said. give it 1 hour we shall see what it really means.

Think risk, Good numbers both euro and us (expanding economy etc) -> risk on. Sell T-bonds and buy stock
Bad numbers both euro and us -> risk off

Then there are always exceptions.

What we see now is normal (whatever that is) behaviour

1.45 might be in the cards the way this thing is going and it is unlikely the US Stock market is going to find any big reason to sell off soon. All positive for Euro.

hell knows whats gonna happen, todd. you are right. 4500 might be possible. and clapx2 for EZ. one less matter to worry bout lol. its steep angle on the gann fan, but the thing is is that its possible. theory says that if it breaks one angle it reaches the next. it just broke long term bull one ever since 3100s.
