Dislikedright now i'am thinking about avoiding false trades like last night/today, when a very strong trend dominates the market (especially after such important news like the eu decision last night) and it's too dangerous to trade reversals in such a market.
but how to identify the trend? maybe by looking at the trend channel in bigger timeframes?
according to this idea i took some screenshots from eurusd. on the first we see the H1 chart. beginning from the red line (19. oct. 2011, 19:00) we see a rising trend. this would be the point where we open...Ignored

I agree 100%, the strategy was working fine when the market wasn't trending so strong.. Pullbacks in both directions and nice profits indeed
Now with this big movements all of my M15 reversal demos are getting their asses kicked!
What you suggest of using the H1 TMATrend to define the trend and take only buys/sells makes perfect sense! but what happens when we don't have a clear direction? Maybe we could use a TMA TREND with a minimum slope to define the trend as "bearish" or "bullish" and not only the direction? (This would have...Ignored
