The candlesticktrailingstop kicks in after the profit goes positive. What I can do is set a pip amount to go positive before kicking in.

i'am still playing around with the settings for this strategy. with the entries i'am done so far i think. right now i'am working on the exits (tp 30 is too small, i think i can increase this to get almost the full move). meanwhile seller released 2 new versions (i still use v17) and i have to adapt the settings to the new version tomorrow. please be a little bit patient, i think at the end of the week this thing will be perfect.

but you can test this already with v17, if you want. timeframe is M15.

yes i think this would be the same. so i have to set this pip amount to the same amount as the breakevenpips and it works as suggested. would be great!

Im watching this thread since the beginning. I backtested many times with this EA, but i never come to these results. I don't know which configuration works best for me. Can you please upload your .set file?

Try this, it is completely untested. I have added the following setting under the Candle Stick trailing Stop settings.

CandleStickBEpipOffset = 20;

Once you reach your Order Open price these pips are added or subtracted to it and the candle stick trailing stop will not kick in untill after the Order Open Price +- this pip offset is reached.

Just wanted to thank you for the set file. I had tried to set it up manually using your previous description but it never traded.

I had actually also set the TP to be a multiple of the SL with the candlestick stop activated, so if I had been able to get it to enter a trade, I would have already had an answer for you as to whether it was any use or not.

All a moot point now, as I have you set so I will join you in seeing how we can milk some more pippies out of each move. With the same SL strategy, the current 89% success rate is likely to remain stable, so if we can capture even more per move, this will be even more amazing.

BTW, I am testing on ATC broker demo.

you can load that set file in version 19 and resave it into a new set file with the new settings if you added or removed any other settings that you changed.

your using the ZONES like i am on some charts, i posted the set file yesterday and it's is doing well.


My Close confirmations

1- Use5emaCandleClosed
2- UseCandleColorChangeClose
3- UseCandlestickTrailingStop "2-3 candles" (also good for safety in case of internet or MT4 crash)
4- UseMAcross (new settings can add desired MA)

in one of my post i had another idea to HIDE the CandleTrailing Stop is it possible ?

also i saw the UseTLBreak which is an another awesome option, but is there an easy way to put a user input option TIME example: if i wanted it for the 1st 4hrs of trading and i put the times desired and it will create the lines based on the Hours entered ? it would be like a 4hr or other TF's Breakout Strategy

Pbh, a few questions.

In determining your bias for a pair:
1. which timeframe do you look at: monthly, weekly or daily?
2. you use MAs or simply look from left to right if it's going up or down

Once you're bullish or bearish on a particular pair do you only turn on the 'buyer only' or 'seller only' feature of the EA? When no bias, can go either way, both buyer and seller or don't run the bot?

And lastly, how do you pick which tf (M15, H1, or...) to actually run the EA on? What seems to work for you?

I remember of possible hope that the ECB will come up with a solution to the crisis on wednsday.. so, buying and selling, I made 2 setfiles (I included them in the templates), one for the 15min charts and one for the 1H charts (EURJPY, GBPJPY, GBPUSD and EURUSD).

The 1H charts setfile might vary depending on the fundamental analysis strength... but right now it's so weak and confusing, that this is the most appropriate (in my opinion).

We want to choose which one is better than...

I have just read the whole thread. Firstly thank you to seller for creating this EA and secondly I can't wait to give it a try!

If I figure out any decent settings i'll be sure to post them here.

Well... first of all I analize the market fundamentally so there's no monthly, weekly, daily, 4H, 1H, or any other chart involved in my decision of whether buying or selling. What I wrote yesterday CAN NOT be taken as my analysis because it's too poor... I'm just waiting for the EU summit to really analize the markets. And to back up my decisions but anyways, let's take a quick look at the markets.

Market trades expectations, not facts. Lately, we've been in a phase of hope (fake hope) in the markets... risk coming back, more people investing, more jobs have been created (I'm talking about this month's data), the NFP rocking the markets, Greek loan tranche aproved, ECB will buy secondary bonds with 1.2T (already leveraged), and we have EZ's plan to make a plan (which I'm still waiting for)...

So well... everything is already priced in, you can check that at a daily chart all the way from 1.3150 (EURUSD) to above 1.3900 (current)... But you can't just look at an overbought chart, know that Europe's economy is weak and sell like there's no tomorrow... because the ECB's main reason to be is to "deliver price stability" (I'm sure you've listened to that phrase many many times in Trichet press conferences), that's why the market was more than expected to come back, and it certainly did.

Fundamentals drive the markets... OK, and right now, the main focus is the EU summit on wednesday. There's fear around.. hope already priced in, but we keep on expecting better data like Thursday's US Advance GDP q/q 2.4% expected, 1.3% last reading. That's why I'm pretty Nowhere.

And that's why I called those "settings" to be better...

About the TF to set the EA on... First of all, I've not been using the EA because I had a trouble with the time settings, but will check out that next week. But as now we have the MaCrossClosed setting (you can select the MA settings), it's kind of the same... For example, yesterday I released a couple of templates, one for the 15min chart (which I'm currently trading) and another for the 1H chart. For the 15min one, the MaCrossClosed used a 13 SMA, no shift to close the trade, and for the 1H chart I used the 5WLMA cross to close the trade.

I got a couple of examples (yesterday), both charts from EURUSD.
15min chart: +40 -10 -27 +72 = +75 pips
1H chart: +5 +60 =+65

Kind of the same... As I said before (the post in which I shared the templates), we are experiencing a confused market sentiment right now... that's why the 1H chart is closed at 5WLMA... when we get stronger sentiments, we will be able to make 100, 150 pips from an hourly trade... So, yes, they constantly change depending on the fundamental outlook, and the performance does too.

I hope this post answers your questions.

And as you can see, everybody, my MA strategy idea is working well

I actually only jumped in 2 trades (for the EURUSD) which were both winning +40 +72 due to the market cycle hours, so it's even a better performance

Will work on the hour settings soon because I I had Morning hours: 8 -12 and evening hours: 12-19, BUT... when it was 8:30 in my broker (Alpari UK, GMT+2), I could see at the right side of the chart, Outside hours... so, I don't know... maybe it's my problem. I'll check out that later this week.

Will come with my analysis or quick opinion, even though I think i already briefly explained what is going on the markets.

if zone show 50% is that mean we can't take Long position,
is there any set up for that we can take long or short for opposite?? or we just wait for reversal??

for anyone that use zone set up, any idea for this?

It means that it will only take longs below the middle band of the TMA and sells above it... I had the same 50, but changed it to 0 and the EA started working that way.. Zone set to true, with that 0, and it'll work that way... that's on the manual

about your 2nd re-entry trade EU that win +72, i want jump to that trade too but the zone show 0%-10% (red/seller zone),so i take it manual..
that i ask to seller can we take long position if zone just 10%-50%??

Don't want to be buying before US open... that's why I have it set to sell only (for the begining of the london session) in the common settings. In the inputs it's still buyer and seller. I will allow it to buy again after it jumps in a short trade.
