One of the reasons for that spike is most likely the Stock market index option expiry day today. It is on every third Friday of the month.
The time of expiration is 13:00 Frankfurt time, that fits with the spike.
Hence the US index futures are still positive, a continuation upwards is more likely to go on, if no verbal craps comes out of some EU mouth.

I think if it ever rejects upward again I'd be careful of shorting until I get a pretty clear signal that it is going back down. That, and I'm really hoping it gets to a stiffer resistance so I feel more comfortable shorting quickly for a good entry.

Not to kick but to save euro.
I can remember when price was @4415 Sarkozy bluffed to save euro at any cost.
After that we had a 50-60 pips spike then few days later a big down.
I like his mouth. lol
