To all,

From technical, fundamental and facts, do you people think that Euro will now be able to climb 1.39 or 1.4x level again soon ? In the past 2 weeks it Euro news that pulled it up and again Euro news that it is coming down.. Add to this some technical analysis also.


But what from now ? Long term I am too bearish on Euro, my long term is equal to 3-6 months.. whats your opinion ?

Don’t Bet Against the Dollar

Stephen Jen, a high-profile currency market investor, expects the U.S. currency to rally broadly in coming months against many of its rivals including the euro, the Australian dollar, the South Korean won and the Brazilian real.

“My three favorite currencies to buy? dollar, dollar, dollar,” said Jen, managing partner at hedge fund SLJ Macro Partners LLP and former currency research head at Morgan Stanley, in an interview Tuesday.

I don't believe it is going up that high this week and because of the current political situation it is impossible to tell if it will very soon. Nobody really knows. Many economists are saying 1.30 and some are even saying 1.20

To me it makes no difference as long as I make the correct trades.

LearninForex, have you read page 1 yet? There is a resources section there and one of the sub-sections has educational links. Go through the BabyPips course and it will guide you through all the technical information you will need in order to have a properly equipped forex toolbox.
Once you complete that course, you will have the foundation you need in order to help you make the right decisions, projections and analysis.

euro is floating on a sea of cheap usd. money seeks yield, and if there is no whiff of fear in the air, that is what it will do. Even with all the uncertainty surrounding the EMU, when there is no real headline grabbing crisis, the usd gets sold and the euro rides up in the risk-on atmosphere. anything the EMU heads do to allay the crisis will be a positive and the euro will benefit. on the other hand, if there is shocking news or an intensification of the EMU debt crisis in any way, the euro will be sold. longer term it looks like the ECB will need to cut rate, and that will change the game, as the rate disparity between eur & usd gets smaller.

Long USD again.
Gave up some on the re entry level.
If the rumor was an intentional test of the markets to see intent, this is resulting in a big rejection candle of the 1.3800 level.

If this was a real event, Euro bonds would get crushed.
The Euro would have to be percieved as a soft currency going forward.
Next would come interest rate reductions from the ECB.

Thanks PT, Firstly Yes, I am going through the resources mentioned there on the 1st page and learning slowly.. frankly speaking, dont get enough time for it as I have manage my main source of income too daily for 10 hrs and after that family too.. I am trying my best to take the most of the time for this.

Secondly, for this week, even I think euro getting back to 1.39 would be a bit difficult but we never know..

I read the wsj article you posted. It was informative and kind of confirmes what we people hold current approach about Euro. I am bullish on USD

I said it earlier that we would see 1.3790 during Asian session. It came earlier than I expected and didn't get a chance to place my limit order.

Oh well. we'll see what tomorrow brings.

You are not alone, it takes time to learn and it's time you have to set aside and make yourself do. Many here are juggling family, work school or all of the above, not everyone here trades full time or is retired. It can take years to become a sucessful trader, it's not something you learn overnight.

We have traders that are bullish, bearish and some that just don't care. Some trade long term for 1000's of pips and some are happy with 5 or 10 pips in a couple minutes. We all trade differently. The biggest key to sucess is finding what works well for you and good money management.

Baby Pips is an excellent site.

This a broad H1 view of what Im looking at and shows why I was holding onto a long (for 382) earlier (though canned it, then opened a new one once it started to move in the right direction).

Also unravels the D1 doji.

Close my short from 381, very small long open at the moment.
Pending short again at 380 (dont think it will sucessfull retest but who knows...)

doji is indecision candle. its gambling to just buy by just seeing one. like other candle patterns. watch them near psychological levels of the market, support, resistance, supply demand, fibonacci levels, gann, banana levels... then they will have great use.
I find that when I see several doji's on the daily or a weekly in a row it typically means that the long term trend is likely to reverse.

well at least you have somebody to talk to. I don't read very many "analyst" blogs but this guy (Marc Chandler) is sharp and I check his out pretty often.
