Perhaps Germans had better buy Dollars or Yens with their Euros now and then sell them again once the Euro devalues. That would give them a much better return on their money than their supposedly guaranteed investment certificates that pay a pitiful 2%

Haha. I didnt realize that press was usually attacking when someone stepped agains keynesyan economy. Maybe poor guy Keynes, who was turning around in grave watching how his doctrine was used and twisted by socialistic goverments will finally find peace. And there comes a light and a new bright future .

Hi foto, I am glad we have you on board. I have a lot of respect for your opinions. Also, we need somebody who thinks USD when he buys and sells Eur/usd.

If the first round of loans took us up to 1.39 (with some fundies) the second round probably will as well (if we get the fundies, which I guess the US will release, no conspiracy there ) . When are the loans to be payed back? and what effect will that have?

We are breaking a second test of the prior support level 1.3684 which was part of the stair pattern on the way up. If this gives way we will see 1.3600 come up as next level.
Looks like stairs going down. Trending trading range formation

edit: I monitor positions off the hourly tf

I always made a point of looking for your 2 cents. I am happy I know know where to look. There are some authentically good people on this thread...and the rest of us behave because PT will give us the boot.

The loans are payable within 1 year from what I understood.
I suspect the effect will be the reverse. Sell EUR to buy back USD to give back to the Fed. Euro negative, USD positive. However, it does not mean that it will go back at the same rate with which it was distributed. It may trickle back and have no apparent effect. Also when (if) it goes back, one would assume that the EZ economy would have improved or worsened by then and other economic factors would have a bigger influence on the exchange rate than the return of a few Billion dollars.

Goldman Sachs Posts Third-Quarter Loss

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) reported its second quarterly loss in 12 years as a public company as the value of the firm’s investments declined.
The third-quarter loss of $393 million, or 84 cents per share, compared with a profit of $1.9 billion, or $2.98, a year earlier, the New York-based company said today in a statement. The average estimate of 26 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg was for an 11-cent loss per share, with estimates ranging from a $1.02 loss to a $1.22 profit.

This is what I am looking at Mo.
Demand zone below. Will we slice through it? We have channel support to content with also.

Besides that, I have intraday support at 1.3610 followed by 1.3575
Below that, I'm looking at the 1.3475 to 1.3520 area which is pivotal and I expect some accumulation before any more momentum once (if) it reaches here.
