I do not (and will never pretend to) have a PhD in economics so I am in no position to give an accurate answer to that question. However, my logic tells me that the obvious "first" move will be to raise interest rates in the face of inflation.

I do in fact remember when we had no V's but I don't feel any difference between then and now. I'm still the same person, trader, optimist
If anything, since joining FF in 2008, I have realized how little I actually knew about these markets back then, but at least now I am expanding my knowledge every day.
I hope the same for you.

it helps me gauge how much i learnt. come on pt, im sure you seen how i 'analyze' . oh hell, i used to watch indicators i dont even know its purpose and not price. i look back at that person, i am different know, a better person and trader.

all im missing is a wife or a girlfriend.

maybe im too picky...

I don't believe there is any such thing as "too picky" at your age. Normally 14 year old boys date any girl who looks like she is destined for a modelling career and she is willing to kiss him and be nice to him. That's the problem with your age, not being too picky

Hi!

I'm new to this forum, but already know the page for more ...
very interesting! I've now decided to register once.
My analysis based on the Ichimoku and I do it on weekends on a
weekly basis ... the big time level.
I'm looking mainly the currency pair EUR/USD, AUD/USD and GBP/USD.
I would like to even imagine EUR/USD.
Perhaps the Ichimoku is also here a few friends ...

my adivce... make a list of all the things you learned and count two months as time well spent.

my other advice... make a list of everything you are looking for in a girl and wait a bit. You will find her.

my other, other advice...if it doesn't work out, take out your list...and revised your list

my final piece of advice (you wish)...repeat steps 1-3 as many times as necessary until either death or contentment with celibacy find you

Thank your dad too. Life is about learning, and the two most important things there are to learn about is money and other people. It doesn't matter what age you are or where you live, you will never escape these two things. I can't actually think of a better place to learn those things than here.

Big thumbs up for coming out about your age. Never be ashamed of who you are, but feel embarrassed for people that feel the need to pretend to be somebody they are not.

There are some people (quite a few actually) who find find value in trying to make others feel bad. They may give a lot of reasons for what they do, but the real reason is that by putting somebody down, they feel important. If you are lower, then they are higher.

When you meet them (or meet good people like PT) spend a little time understanding them. And by understanding them, I mean understanding their motivation. Ask yourself "what drives this person". '

I recently did 150 rounds of abuse and insult on a thread called "No sl v sl", very educational experience.

Risk Rally to Hit Important Resistance This Week, Reverse?

Risk appetite extended with some persistence last week, sending the dollar broadly lower against major currencies. Downgrades of some peripheral European sovereign ratings were shrugged off as the focus was on developments in formulating the bank recapitalization plan. There was additional optimism that G20 will back increasing IMF lending capital to help tackle the European debt crisis. After all, sentiments were generally lifted by expectations that the European debt crisis would finally be solved. DOW had a week of solid rally and closed at 11644 while S&P 500 also closed strongly at 1224. Both are now close to key near term resistance level of 11716/11862 and 1230/50 respectively. FTSE 100 took out equivalent level of 5449 to close at 5466 while DAX is also back pressing 6000 psychological level. Dollar index suffered and extended the fall from near term high of 79.93 to close at 76.62.
After a two days meeting in Paris, G20 leaders pledged to ensure banks will have sufficient capital while urging European Union to act decisively to solve the debt crisis within eight days. In the communique, G20 leaders pledged to "ensure that banks are adequately capitalized and have sufficient access to funding to deal with current risks". And Central banks will "to stand ready to provide liquidity to banks as required." Also, the IMF is called on to consider "new ways to provide on a case by case basis short-term liquidity" to troubled controls and develop "concrete proposal" by Cannes Summit early next month. Meanwhile, in rare direct languages, G20 urged EU to outline a pan by EU summit on October 23 to "decisively address the current challenges through a comprehensive plan."Also, EU is urged to "to maximize the impact of the EFSF (bailout fund) in order to address contagion".

I have said this to few, and the world is lacking of people like you. I heard of that thread, i will check it out. i hate my friends being done that way, and piptrapper i think like all of us finds purpose in all this.

I find passion and love in forex, i am in peace and serenity, loss or win, i feel thats where and what i want to do. Im sure most of you do, and the profit is the reward for our undying passion, and loss is just the cost of some complacency and wrong mindsets i think. we all love our job around here, whether its helping others, learning or trading, its a fullfiling experience. i look at charts right now, not to only analyze, i see myself calm.

Aaron, the world is lacking people like you.

One might say, you are short on girls/women .

Don't worry, you won't even notice when the problem gets solved.

BTW, I am single right now too, so I know it sometimes feels bad, but when one is patient everything finally gets better. Patience - just like in forex...

You have given our young friend excellent advice.

I have long maintainted that in order to be a winning forex trader you first need to be a winner in life. A positive mental attitude. A healthy understanding that while money is important it is but a tool of life. When we trade forex we take our fears and our greed and our ego into the markets.

I once read on Forex Factory on the other thread that deals in a unhealthy way with life and also has abuse and ego and all the other bad traits of humans The Four Agreements.

That is a book that a poster suggested. I bought the book and read it.

The four agreements are;

(1) Be impecable with your word.

(2) Do not take things personally.

(3) Do not make assumptions.

(4) Always do your best.

This thread is a place to learn, grow, share and live in harmony with each other.

I share your views, AaronWard.

Does anybody know where to get the dollar index charts to play with? I keep looking at the USD/CAD and the GBP/USD to get a sense of where things are going, but the dollar index chart is so much better.
