but still hasn't happened...

if it shows up in the mean time i'll close the longs and start to look for a upmove to short (which will probably happen only next week)

3600-3800 zone was what I had in mind as far as a shift downward was going to happen.

The 3600 zone got broken towards 3800, but signs of slow down are being observed around 3800-3900, these signs are start of a downward shift on the weekly time frame.

Ya, thank you very much for your kindly suggestion.
I can see you have high determination and discpline than I.
I tried my best to trade with long term and follow the trend but I still try to guess top or bottom (although this money risk is small). So I think one important reason I am worse than you is when we both see it is a bullish trend, you buy on dip but i sell at top (an estimated top i calculated or based on former resistence)...
I would like to discuss ideas and anaylsis with people here so I can learn from you but thanks again, we will see how market goes.

Lol man, why worse than me? I am just tight thats all. For example a didnt do a single trade during this bullish correction, because it wasnt what I was expecting. And thats my fault, it was an easy money if you knew it, and some people did know. So I am just waiting untill it stops raging up, wait for correction confirmation of downtrend and sell.

but trendlines say that its very close. 200-300 pip zone on a daily / weekly chart can be allowed for margin of approximation.

All that I can say at the moment is that

Be carefull of longs and analyze your chart for possible expanding triangles, because they give the impression of new territory to be explored upwards, which is false

I am standing on the sideline myself, watching PA before making a new move. Probably have to wait till tuesday, but I would be very hesitant to think this thing will go all the way to 4000 or 4200

i am not aiming for much (30-80pips) and that wouldn't invalidate your scenario...

Then you are even better because you dont trade when you see the market is unexpected. You may miss a good chance but i think good traders also rest like you successfuly trade a long run earn 1000+ pips in then you can relax for a few times before you have next trade.
My first year micro-economics professor only trade one way, well, i mean he has to only trade one way because he does not use a broker, he just went to the bank and exchanged money. I am at Canada and I remembered he went to bank exchange 200,000 Canadian dollars into US dollars at 2008 January when it was 1.0000 and then change all them back to Canadian dollars at 2008 November when it reached to almost 1.3000 (but he probably did not exchange it exactly at 1.3000, and there was also high bank transcation fee but still at least he earns net 2500 pips which is 25% of his investment, he told me his classmate worked in an investment bank at Wall street before and his friend said in that bank, if a trader can earn more than 20% for a long term trade it is very very successful and the trader can go on holiday at the rest of that year.. i am not sure if this is true but if one trader invest 100 millions and earn 20% is 20 million it is very large in my opinion). In the last two years, I asked him if it is a good idea to buy USD/CAD and he told me he would just relax to wait for another chance. So back to the old time when those good traders only go to bank to exchange money, thus, trade in one way is good.
And it is also very different when you hold an open order than when you just analyze the trade.. i dont know if you have strong psychology. When i decide to trade a long term, even though i assume the trend should carry for maybe couple weeks and i still want the market can go 200+ pips after one day and when i see it has a correction i am also nervous to worried about the trend will reverse. how do you solve this problem?

Why do i short?? i am loosing money today, why does it get more expensive to buy EUR with $ in this market? EUR is doomed anyway, cant understand it is getting stronger.

hey guys

the problem in day trading that the majority are loser i think the only way to get profit from this fluctuate market is to trade long term .

i have selling order at Gold one month ago @ 1820 my stop now @1700 in reaction with the probability of braking the downward trend line and the formation of ascending triangle .

the bad news this trade i a DEMO account

in the real account i close this trade @ 1810 .

mind you the way the week went for me it might be good to syart over with them

Guys it's simple,

the market is not based on any tech's or fundies unless imminent collapse or natural disaster.

The people running the markets are all on one side vs retailers. If you and I are doing one thing the market will do the other. No matter how bad the situation gets until it breaks it ain't broken.

It seems none of you bears have learned your lessons and open interest is rising for shorts. I think we'll have another month of up for the market before any retrace.

The stupidity of the bears and lack of money management is causing this short squeeze. It's not intervention it's big players killing tiny retailers.

Barring major changes in sentiment I think we're good for 1.5 to 1.6 EUR before the fall.

Well, i like your confidence dudester

well to me, i think that hedge funds, institutions that have goldmines and piles of cash, trade based on important fundamental news, they saw that the markozy setups would make everyone else long on false hope etc. Its fundamentals that make those traders trade in my opinion. I doubt 80% of them even look at charts. They hear, they trade. They get inside info better than us, more accurate, more detailed, they trade. few bribes here and there will not get them caught lol.

you do realize that 1.5000 and 1.6000 means that euro is back in an uptrend, and this was just some major retracement? it would take.... hmm.. 200 pips fly about these days in euro/usd, so it would take... 25 days to .5000, and 30 to 6000 average range speaking. Well in amonth im thinking that europe would be in more toxic debt, and more troubles they cant avert attention anymore, and people know real troubles, no more avertion of attention anywhere else, eye on europe, greece done, now its spain italy, and portugal. They hide fact of spain and italy. greece is least of worries.

well.. thats me dude. Open your ears always, your heart takes part in application, so your heart makes choice of ur prediction, and trust it LOGICAlLy. if u have backed up info like u do i say go ahead.

just open your ears and mind, apply what u think is right.
